You've found the best RV parking in Packwood, Washington at the base of Mt Rainier. Enjoy nearly an acre of quiet, old growth, tranquil, forest to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Leave behind the congested RV park and experience a unique and tranquil oasis of natural beauty. Pick between two RV parking spots, with septic, 30 amp electric and water. Enjoy your own fire pit, a covered picnic shelter with lighting, horseshoe pits and a covered porch with a swing. Access the property with a U-shaped, pull-through drive, or simply back in/out. The property is located at the dead end of a road with a large, paved cul de sac for easy turning . You'll be centrally located to the best of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer: Mt. Rainier National Park (12 miles to the Stevens Canyon entrance and 28 miles to the Nisqually entrance in the summer....longer in the winter), White Pass (including the ski resort and the Pacific Crest Trail), the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, the Cowlitz River, Packwood Lake, and endless hiking trails. Looking for more? You're also not far from Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams. While you feel like you've stepped away from it all, you're still just a few miles away from the amenities of Packwood, including shopping, restaurants, gas, etc. Fall asleep to the soft sounds of nearby Butter Creek, and wake up to fresh forest air. Spend your days exploring what makes the Pacific Northwest so amazing, and relax at night gathering around the large fire pit or enjoying time together under the covered picnic shelter. A second RV is allowed for an additional fee (contact owner), though electrical service is only available for one RV (septic and water available for two). One tent is allowed provided it is accompanied by a fully contained RV with a bathroom. The maximum occupancy is 6 persons regardless of the number of RV's or if a tent is used. Some guess have reported that using slide outs leaves little to no room to walk past the slide outs without having to walk off the driveway; if your vehicle has slide outs this may not be an ideal location for your vacation. (note: there is a small residence on the property, which will be vacant during your stay; you are free to use the covered porch area and the porch swing). If you are looking for an uncrowded, truly private and memorable RV parking spot to call home for a while, then this is for you. Sink your teeth into the heart of the Pacific Northwest: we guarantee you won't be able to finish all the hiking trails within a 60 minute drive radius. This is an outdoor paradise waiting for you to explore, or simply sit back and enjoy. The lighted picnic shelter will allow you to make and eat meals, play games or simply sit and talk after the sun goes down. Be sure to bring your horseshoes and play a few games in your own horseshoes pits. The fire pit is huge and will allow plenty of room for everyone to sit around it. You'll feel like you're in the middle of the forest, but just a few miles from the amenities of Packwood, including a grocery store, gas, hardware, auto care, restaurants, and a museum. This is an established RV parking place that has been privately used, but is now made available for others to use. Please note: there are no restroom or toilet facilities provided; you must provide a vehicle with a bathroom. The roads leading to the site are scheduled to be plowed after snowstorms, but the property itself will not be plowed. A snow shovel is available on the porch for use if needed. Packwood does receive snow on occasion, but usually not a lot. The real snow happens at White Pass and Mt. Rainier. However, please watch weather reports and come prepared.

Seasonal Camp with a campsite
The things we liked best were “no leash” for our dog and no neighbors next to us. We stayed 3 nights, & w/ each day we liked it better! Hikes with our dog were great as we walked the dead end road. The local herd of about 20 elk left us amazed as we watched them fearlessly cross the road. Dinner on the porch was lovely. We didn’t use the fire pit or horse shoes. On the down side, this is a SEASONAL camp. It is not fancy, and basically you are renting the front yard in a wooded setting.

Overall we had a great experience! We loved how the fire pit was in a little woods area. My only complaint is there are neighbors and unfortunately while we were there, the cabin next to us had a very loud car that he would start really early in the morning and wake us up. It's a nice area for base camp for mount rainier and the little town has some good restaurants.

Beautiful setting
Beautiful site in the trees. Quiet and peaceful, but not far from town. We camped with a 25 1/2 ft class C. The entry and exit were a bit uneven with some rocks and a stump that could be problematic. Be alert!

We loved the peace and quiet we found at Brandon's property! Our stay was very comfortable, hookups were easily accessible, and our doggos had plenty to sniff and explore. The lights around the picnic table and the porch swing were nice additions to the area. We were only 30 minutes from Rainier's Paradise entrance, 5 minutes from Packwood for food and groceries, and a short drive away to a trail along the river so our dogs could swim. We would definitely stay again!

Brandon’s land has all the basecamp amenities you would ask for. FHU is always good to have. Trees shade the space cool enough in the day. Big private space for the dogs to roam around (no fence tho). Quiet surroundings even with neighbors. Closeness to Mt. Rainier is the main reason we chose the place to stay. We would stay here again when we revisit Rainier.

Great getaway near Mt. Rainier
Spent a couple nights at Brandon’s spot in early August and had a great time! We picked it because it’s only a 20 minute drive to Mt Rainier’s Stevens Canyon entrance and provided full hookup. We had to back in with our 27 ft trailer which was a bit tricky but manageable. Unfortunately there was a fire ban in the area so couldn’t use the great fire pit but all the other amenities were great. We spotted a few people near us in neighboring cabins & RVs but it still felt private enough. Brandon was very communicative and helpful answering questions. Would recommend!
