New to Hipcamp! (We have reviews on Airbnb if you're interested in reading them.) Enjoy a unique off-grid experience all to yourself in your own private, mountainside secluded forest. This small cabin is located in the center of 10 acres of designated forestland in the foothills of Mt. Adams and Mt. St Helens. Surrounded by even more forestland and connected to the National Forest, this place is remote and special! You'll feel like you're deep in the forest and away from it all while being a located in the center of all the local parks, lakes, hiking and ski resorts in the area. The cabin is 100% solar powered and has most of the creature comforts of home, including a refrigerator/freezer, good size kitchen sink, gas stovetop, couch which configures into a queen size bed with an 8" memory foam mattress, television, lighting + LED mood lighting for evenings, hot outdoor showers. We also stock it with pots, pans, utensils and some basic food items like spices, sugar, salt, etc. (We use propane for hot showers and cooking.) There is also a cozy woodfire stove in the cabin for cool evenings with plenty of firewood right at your doorstep. The "bathroom" is just a private outhouse with an RV style toilet that is much like an airline toilet. It's private, clean, and comfortable to use. The property is southwest facing so there is endless sunlight and warmth in the Washington summer, along with beautiful sunsets through the hills and trees. The topography of the property is dramatic with interesting contours and ravines and over 100 feet of vertical from the top of the property the lowest point. Completely wooded in Furs, Alders, Cedars, Cypress, Cottonwoods and more. The stream runs from the national forest directly into this property. It runs to the other corner of the property so you can hear it from just about anywhere. There is also a fresh water spring located on the property. The cabin has a porch and most of the creature comforts of a small home. Enjoy reading your favorite books lying in hammocks by the creek under the trees, or anywhere on the property your heart desires. We have 2 areas set up for hammocks but there are endless opportunities for great locations. There are also unlimited spots for setting up a tent if you bring a couple of guests. Note: Even though this cabin has it all, please note this is still outdoor living and is a rustic experience so please have some experience with camping/staying in the outdoors. We recommend arrival in a vehicle with medium to high clearance due to the remote mountain road (does not have to be 4x4), but a regular sedan can also reach the location between May and October. Please also note there is also a somewhat steep hill from the parking area down to the cabin, maybe 200ft long, which will need to be walked. The property is very sloped in general as it's on the side of a small mountain with ravines and other mountainous topography. Might be difficult for guests with mobility constraints. This property will be entirely yours to enjoy with no other renters!
