Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Mossflower Cottage sits on historic land which was a working dairy farm by Pioneer Elliot Cline back in 1892. Cline Spit was donated by the family to the County and is a two minute walk from the cottage to see the best sunset views around. Dungeness National Wildlife Preserve and Dungeness Spit is a short 5 minute drive or bicycle ride. First Friday Art Walks, Saturday Farmer’s Market, great local restaurants and numerous beaches and hiking trails are all within minutes of us. The Cottage offers basic kitchen and cooking equipment, outdoor fire pit, a queen bed with luxurious bedding, an outdoor shower with hot water.Nestle into Mossflower Cottage which sleeps two adults and is a non smoking space with a view of our 1934 Bow Truss Barn.  Should you need a little more space, we can accommodate 1 tent next to the cottage for an additional 2-3 people ($10 per person). (please note there is only one semi private toilet in cabin for all guests). We provide bedding in the cabin at no extra charge. There is running water from our well plus a filter for drinking water, and a hot water kettle. We provide a coffee press, mini fridge and electric skillet.  A flush toilet is in the cottage.  We are a two minute walk to Cline Spit. We've recently added a large deck along with an outside shower. You can kayak to the New Dungeness Lighthouse in your own kayak.  Observe eagle's nest nearby, ride bikes to Dungeness Spit, Sailboard in the bay, enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets. We are a thirty-forty minute drive to the Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent and very near to the Discovery Trail.  Sequim has many local restaurants which we are happy to recommend, and Nash's Organic Produce is just a couple miles down the road. Lavender farms are within walking distance or a short drive and they're open!  We have firewood if requested for a slight fee. Be sure and ask Rick for a free tour of our barn! Though our 1892 farm house is nearby, you cannot see it from the cottage, but should you need anything, we are happy to help out quickly. Wildlife includes raccoons, deer, eagles, coyotes and hummingbirds who nest in the trees around the cottage.  Just down the road is the Olympic Game Farm. Hope to see you soon!

Memorable Birthday Stay
My partner and I had a wonderful and memorable experience staying at Mossflower Cottage for our birthdays this year! Mary Beth gave us a warm welcome on arrival and we easily settled in. The Cottage was clean and equipped with everything we needed for cooking, bathing, sleeping and relaxing. We loved that the bed was really comfortable, the outdoor shower provided plenty of hot water, and how easy it was to heat the inside of the Cottage. Daytime adventures to Hurricane Ridge and Dungeness Recreation Area were easy drives from the Cottage. We hope to be back soon!

Historic barn!
A cute lil spot close to the water and all that Sequim and Port Angeles has to offer! Just enough space for two and all the amenities you might need.

Mossflower Cottage
Mary Beth and Rick’s place was a cozy stay for a couple of cool end of summer nights. The cottage itself had all the amenities you could ask for. What we were most impressed with was their hospitality and creativity. Upon arrival, we were greeted with food and fresh eggs. We also got a tour of the barn behind the property. We would absolutely go back the next time we are in town.

Mossflower Cottage
Mary Beth's cottage was a perfect spot to stay while exploring the Olympic Peninsula. It is very comfortable, and Mary Beth and Rick are wonderful hosts, taking time to leave fresh chicken eggs and giving us a history of the barn and surrounding area. There were extra thoughtful touches like a hot outdoor shower, fully stocked little kitchenette, and a little electric fireplace. There is a beautiful beach a 3 minute walk away right on Dungeness Bay with beautiful sunsets!
