Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is romantic.
Mostly private three acres of open flat field. Cedar and pine trees, some garden, flowerbeds. Bats at dusk. Lots of stars at night. Lots of birds during summer. It's between Port Gamble Heritage Park and the Hood Canal bridge, just off of Highway 3.

Hood Canal " Groovy" Yurt
Curt runs a great yurt. Showed up later in the day then we wanted but everything was ready so we could get straight to relaxing and enjoying the space. Bed is super soft and the area is wonderfully quiet

We loved this place. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and easy to find. Sarah was communicative. The yurt and kitchen area are amazing. My family played games and relaxed. All together lovely.

🐰🐰 Multiple bunnies sightings!
The space was a quiet and the outdoor kitchen was very convenient to cook and wash with, it can fit 3 people comfortably (one person washing at the sink while another cooks at the stove, and a the third person in the back chopping food). The yurt is spacious enough to fit 6 adults, the bunk cots can separate and are comfortable to sleep in. The windowed wooden door is nice but it doesn't have a net to keep mosquitos out.

Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The yurt is spacious and there is a large area for use outside. They have just about anything you might need available for you to use.

Hood Canal " Groovy" Yurt
More tramping than glamping
Pros: * The location was good; not far from Poulsbo and Port Townsend. * Outdoor flushable bathroom that was relatively clean * Rabbits everywhere Cons: * The host did the bare minimum at check in, telling us that he was not there / to let ourselves in, and there was a bear in the area. There weren't obvious check in instructions anywhere - e.g. what to do about water? * The yurt was cleanish, but there was garbage from previous guests there, e.g. some antibiotic cream - which was annoying with small children. The yurt had a door but no lock, and the door didn't close all that well. * The bedding on the bed seemed ok, but the blankets / sleeping bags that were available for the cots were all smelly. * The fridge had other peoples food in it and smelled bad * The above were concerning enough that we noped out early and got a hotel in Port Townsend.

Great weekend. This is a wonderful location to stay. Yurt is huge and easily slept our family of five. The out door kitchen is perfect to prep and cook. Best of all was a real toilet for the family. Highly recommend this spot. Thanks Curt. Nice work on the property.
