Serenity Pond Camp
Heaven.
Serenity Pond is a small slice of heaven. Neal, the host went above and beyond, with excellent communication and the provision of local information, as well as excellent firewood. The spot is perfect with idyllic views and a set up to ensure the perfect camping experience.

Serenity Pond Camp
Incredible site and incredible host
My family and I had an incredible time at the camp site. My daughter caught her first fish. This site will forever be a fond memory in our family! Luther was an incredible host! Super nice and friendly family, provided firewood, water, and even cleared an area so we could hammock camp. He went above and beyond! I highly recommend staying here!

Pond Camp
Fantastic experience!! Neil and his family have the perfect setting: 1) Drop-dead glorious property; 2) Quiet, easy drive to Abingdon but far enough away from any urban sounds (including I81) 3) campsite is nicely maintained with a pond that will add additional hours of wildlife watching. And as an extra bonus, I’m convinced that Neil has the neighboring cows on the payroll given the perfect timing of their moos in the morning and late evening. You will never look at a Red Roof or Comfort Inn the same way again…and all for a price that is less than a tank of gas If you book the property for the Virginia Creeper bike ride (as I did), I suggest taking the shuttle from Abingdon to Whitetop for the bike trip back to Abingdon. The first 15 miles are easy but back half is exhausting at least for the weekend warrior; you will appreciate the reprieve of Pond Camp. Enjoy David F
