Smith Farm
Kerwin’s farm site is picturesque, quiet, and fairly private. There’s a restroom with good amenities in an outbuilding on the farm, and the land is quite lovely. Definitely have a sunshade or similar in the summer as you’re in the middle of an open field and the sun does beat down a bit. A short walk across the field takes you to several lovely trails in the back woods of the property. Trails are moderately well maintained and very dog friendly. I didn’t get to meet Kerwin as he was out for the holiday weekend, but a family member came and got me checked in and everybody was very helpful.

Everything was great. It felt like we were all alone! Concrete pad with hookups away from everything. The dogs loved it too

We were looking for a nearby getaway to leave the hustle and bustle of the suburbs behind and we found it here. Kerwin’s land and farm is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed seeing the animals, watching the beautiful sunset, a distant thunderstorm, and walking the property. Kerwin also has a gorgeous wedding venue on his property. Bring chairs so you can sit outside and take it all in. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful area. The section of land that was advertised was actually already occupied which we were unaware of. So we ended up having to camp in the woods without access to water at our campsite as advertised. We also weren’t allowed to fish (the only reason we chose this location)at his pond due to a wedding but he was nice enough to show us to another of his pond with the cows- serene experience fishing with the cows. Just a little miscommunication but everything turned out great. We went Memorial Day weekend so I don’t know if late spring is tick season, did experience quite a few ticks probably due to the season. But overall a great camping trip!
