Thanks to our wonderful hipcampers that leave awesome reviews & suggestions we have made some exciting new additions to our site. *Outback camp toilet at camp site * Drinking water under camp kitchen * Utensils, pasta strainer, grater, bottle opener, kettle, skillet, bbq tools * Changes to fencing so you do not have to open & shut farm gates * Newspaper, firelighters, matches Pitch your tent or camper near our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. Throw in a line to catch a silver perch, bass or get the kids to catch some yabbies, they are great cooked up with chilli & garlic. Our property joins onto the Neerim East State Park for those walking enthusiasts or we can accommodate your horse in our yards should you want to explore the bush with many tracks directly from the property. We offer drinking water & toilet accessed from house. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through. Chris & I are campers ourselves, so we know how nice it is to have a quiet and private spot all to ourselves, however before long you have people on top of you at caravan parks or at free camping you may experience the doof doof music until god knows what hour. So we offer exclusive private campsite all to your self, we only book one group at a time. Pitch your tent or camper surrounding our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. As you will be the only guest, the peace and quiet property feels like no one is around you as you are approximately 200 metres from the main residence but not too far to walk to the laundry with toilet for your convenience. Whispering Gums

We had a fantastic stay. Sue was very welcoming, met us on arrival and showed us around. The set up was fantastic with plenty of space, privacy, a toilet, sink, and a cabin/hut with a table and chairs and some cooking equipment. Sue also had great recommendations for local places to visit. Highly recommend

We'll be back.

We loved our stay at Whispering Gums. Loved the peace, quiet and privacy. Extra comforts like the camp toilet, access to laundry for toilet and water, camp kitchen with sink and the wood cabin for card games and storage made our stay very comfortable. Proximity to Melbourne and Noojee/Neerim makes it a really practical spot too

Great spot with plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable. Susan was extremely acomodating and helped us with exploring the local spots. Definitely recommend, will be returning.

Private and peaceful

What an amazing spot!! Had an awesome 2 nights at Sue and Chris's place. 1 site only so nice and peaceful. Site is clean and well layed out. Had the fire roaring at night 🔥 Not far from town, perfect base camp to explore the area or just stay put and enjoy the property. Cant wait to go back in the warmer months and catch those yabbys.

Thank you to Sue and her husband for making our stay at Whispering Gums, easy and enjoyable. The camp site is clean and organised with a firepit,camp kitchen and a bonus shack filled with things to make your stay run smoothly. Sue and her husband are a very knowledgeable of the area and were happy to give their advice to make our adventures fun. We especially loved patting the friendly puppy Banjo and spotting the cheeky platypus. Thanks again, Sue, We will see you next time.
