Thanks to our wonderful hipcampers that leave awesome reviews & suggestions we have made some exciting new additions to our site. *Outback camp toilet at camp site * Drinking water under camp kitchen * Utensils, pasta strainer, grater, bottle opener, kettle, skillet, bbq tools * Changes to fencing so you do not have to open & shut farm gates * Newspaper, firelighters, matches Pitch your tent or camper near our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. Throw in a line to catch a silver perch, bass or get the kids to catch some yabbies, they are great cooked up with chilli & garlic. Our property joins onto the Neerim East State Park for those walking enthusiasts or we can accommodate your horse in our yards should you want to explore the bush with many tracks directly from the property. We offer drinking water & toilet accessed from house. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through. Chris & I are campers ourselves, so we know how nice it is to have a quiet and private spot all to ourselves, however before long you have people on top of you at caravan parks or at free camping you may experience the doof doof music until god knows what hour. So we offer exclusive private campsite all to your self, we only book one group at a time. Pitch your tent or camper surrounding our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. As you will be the only guest, the peace and quiet property feels like no one is around you as you are approximately 200 metres from the main residence but not too far to walk to the laundry with toilet for your convenience. Whispering Gums

The site at Whispering Gums is exceptional. This scenic space lends itself to a relaxing stay surprising you and your family with different settings as the day moves from early morning mist on the lake to superb sunsets with light streaming through the gums. Highly recommended…. Be sure to ask about Chris’ chilli jam…. It will make your stay. We will be back.

Camping amongst the gums

We had a lovely stay at Whispering Gums! It is such a stunning setting on the dam surrounded by rolling hills. Chris greeted us and made sure that we were comfortably set up. He and Susan have definitely done a fabulous job of providing for campers needs. Every night was spent around the fire pit and much use was made of the hot plate. The hut contained lots of other equipment that you are welcome to use. As has already been noted by other campers, there is a shortage of flat area for tents. This was made up for by the great location and facilities. Efforts have already been made to rectify this. We are definitely keen to return in the future.

Good quiet spot, secluded and close to nearby Neerim and places like Noojee hotel and local fishing spots. You have your own facilities and have easy access. Thanks

Whispering Gums

An experience not to be missed!

Whispering Gums was a magical spot to camp! The site exceeded all our expectations. It was secluded, comfortable, safe and provided so many additional extras like pots, pans and yabby nets just to share a few! The camp set up was perfect and the dam provided a beautiful outlook but also source of food. Susan and her husband were the perfect hosts - they popped by to say hello and then left us to enjoy our weekend. They were happy to be called on to help with a flat battery! We went on a hike just a few minutes drive from Whispering Gums. Susan was a great source of information, highlighting several different hiking spots. We will be visiting again. A big thank you for having us!

Camping amongst the wildlife!

Excellent property and facilities. Susan and Chris were very accomodating providing everything we needed, including an emergency sleeping bag! The only caution I have is for super large groups booking. The area for tenting is on quite a slope and flat ground is in short supply Great place - we enjoyed our time here. Kylie
