Wallaby Rocks is located in Far East Gippsland on 130 acres of land bordering the Snowy River National Park. The campsite is on the ridge with great 360 degree views, access to the Jingallala River and on-property dams. A small flock of sheep also share the ridge.
Half of the property is bushland with a wilderness protection covenant in place, including the rock formation known as Wallaby Rocks which visitors can explore on foot. You'll see plenty of local wildlife on your stay.
This property is best suited to self-contained travellers used to windy dirt roads, looking to escape the crowds. A limited camp kitchen and compost toilet situation is in place. Fires in designated places only and only during non fire-exclusion times. Dogs allowed under strict control regarding both sheep and local wildlife.
Use the area as a base to explore local 4WD and walking spots in the Errinundra and Snowy River National Parks. You can access the property via 2WD. Caravan access ok too.
Please note much of the region and the local national parks were affected by the 2019 fires but not our farm.
