All to yourself

Our Callaghan Creek unpowered campsite is large enough for a big group and has access to water and shade. We also offer a large farmhouse located across the creek from the campsite which we offer on Air BNB so if you plan a big getaway with friends and some are not keen campers then our guest house might be a perfect option. It is a short walk through a ford in the creek from the camp site. Mobile phone coverage is possible if you are with Telstra as there is a Telstra tower not far away. Our Callaghan Creek camp is in a secluded and very pretty spot on our farm. Access is via a dirt track across paddocks and down a short steep slope to the creek. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times as farms can be dangerous places. There are large animals, snakes and deep water. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are allowed. All campers must have their own camping toilet and be self-contained.This is a secluded spot big enough for about 10 to  30 people right beside Callaghan Creek. There is a permanent creek about 40cm deep in summer. The site is surrounded by trees. Access is via a dirt track that winds over undulating country and in dry conditions is suitable for cars. As this site is close to water please make sure you supply a chemical or other type of toilet facility. Our area has very little mobile phone coverage but if you are with Telstra you will be fine as there is a Telstra tower not far away. On Callaghan Creek Road we have a peaceful and completely private in powered camping spot by the creek. This is in a secluded and very pretty spot on our farm. 4 wheel drive needed as you will be driving across paddocks and down a short steep hill to the creek. Off-road caravan friendly. Children welcome but must be supervised at all times (farms can be dangerous). Well behaved dogs on lead allowed. No amenities campers must have own camping toilet and be self-contained.

Callaghan Creek Campsite- unpowered
We loved our stay in the Mitta Valley, we were fortunate to park our van in the witches garden, it was so magical with the river flowing by and surrounded by lovely trees and the garden.

Callaghan Creek Campsite- unpowered
This is a fantastically secluded camp spot which we’d return to in a flash. Enough space for a single group or for a small group of friends/family.

Slice of paradise
A beautiful slice of paradise for the self-sufficient. The sound of the bubbling creek and the open area surrounded with trees that offer brilliant shade. A small drive from the town if you need it and otherwise you are left to enjoy the bush! Definitely put this one on your go to list.

Callaghan Creek Campsite- unpowered
This camping spot is just perfect. Located on a working farm in a beautiful part of Vic. Not far from Mitta Mitta itself but nicely private and peaceful on Callaghan Creek. We stayed here over Easter with our 2 dogs and loved every minute. Great base to explore the area, plenty of tracks nearby or if you are just wanting a quiet camping spot to chill out this is the spot. Sunsets from the top of the hill were a highlight. Felicity was so easy to deal with and showed us to our site on arrival. 100% coming back here.

Camping by the Mitta Mitta River
What a wonderful little spot, right on the river and easy to access for a large caravan. Felicity was such a happy host. Can’t recommend enough
