Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Craigs Flat - Site 3
Caravanning Hil
Site 3. We had a lovely 4 day stay with some family and our furbaby. There were other 2 sties that were occupied, close by but far enough away for privacy and peace and quiet. Our site was so peaceful and relaxing and we had a running creek which was nice but didnt catch any fish. Michael was a great host and also let us stay a few extra hrs with no extra cost on our last day because he didn't have a booking on that day which was very much appreciated. We recommend Michael's hipcamp 😊

Site 1 (River side )
Quiet & spacious!
The “boys” stayed in Site 1 and loved the open space and the river that was running through and although there were other campers on other sites, they said it was very quiet and peaceful. Michael was lovely and was in regular contact giving lots of information and advice. Thanks so much! I’m sure they will be back soon!! :)

A Hidden Gem on the Murrindindi!
We had the pleasure of meeting our host Michael upon our arrival at Fern Glade. He was extremely welcoming and gave us lots of good tips for the camping experience we were about to embark on. Our camping site (Camp Site 1) was fully fenced with a gate at the rear to our own private river area. We had a fabulous time and so did our dogs ….. this is a great place to relax and we were also lucky enough to meet “Pretty Boy” the beautiful King Parrot as well as the resident Wombat! Thank you very much Michael, we had a wonderful and relaxing time and we will definitely be back to Fern Glade and the Murrindindi! Cheers …… Georgie and Russ

Craigs Flat - Site 3
Site 3 nice and quiet spot, large enough for plenty of room, close to stream. Loved cooking over fire, plenty of shade when needed. Handy having a flushing toilet close by.
