Welcome to Somerville Park, a 500 acre sheep farm at Fosterville. There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. Fires are permitted out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast.

Forest Ridge Site 1
Great campsite near bendigo
We were met at the farm gate by our lovely host Sheryl. Huge camp sites like you are camping by yourself in the bush rather than someones farm. Woke up to birds singing, and other bush noises. Sat under a huge tree after breakfast with the wind blowing so gery peaceful and relaxing. Amazing bike tracks lead you to the pub at Axedale where it is always 5 oclock somewhere. Our amazing host talents extended to finding my lost mobile phone on her property with only a map from apple she even organised its delivery to me in melbourne. Such a great place to stay we will definitely be back. Hoping to get a dam site.

Forest Ridge Site 2
Forest Ridge 2
Stayed at Forest Ridge 2. Sheryl has a beautiful property and was an attentive and friendly host. Sites are very well spaced and private. We had a camper trailer and most others apart from one tent were caravans. I will say if you are staying in anything other than an air conditioned van Forest Ridge 2 is the site with the most afternoon shade, which was essential for us. Despite being very bushy we were pleasantly surprised at the lack of insects in our campground. We would’ve loved to stay an extra night but had to return to Melbourne. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Bush Seclusion
We stayed in the Bush Seclusion and it was a large open area surrounded by bush on 3 sides. Couldn’t see anyone else. Lovely and peaceful.

Ruby's Place
We’ve been here a few times now, and keep coming back for the tranquility, the hospitality, the surrounds and the setup of the campsites. Cheryl and family do an amazing job at making everyone feel welcome, and taking care of this beautiful part of Victoria.

Fosterville Road Dam
Lovely owner and all sites were a long distance apart. Top Dam or roadside dam would be the better spots
