On a natural inland island, bordered by the Loddon River and 12 Mile Creek, Riverside is a secluded, hidden little gem. The property is a sheep farm, but the River Red Gums, billabongs and the winding Loddon River create an atmosphere of tranquility and freedom. We offer one site on the property, with river access, so you'll feel like you're in your own little natural paradise. "Our camping is closed for January and February due to the high fire risk, but we look forward to welcoming campers again from March onwards" xx We do not provide facilities here, so you must be fully self-contained, with your own camp toilet, and take all waste with you. We ask that you Leave No Trace and have minimal impact on the land, to ensure it's kept pristine and natural. Campfires are permitted in the designated spots, and firewood is provided for you, or you may BYO. Please do not collect your own firewood. Please note - fire restrictions are normally in place from November to March. Please check with us Pets are welcome, just please ensure they're picked up after and kept under control at all times. Boort is our nearest town, just 20 minutes drive away and offers the choice of 2 cafes, supermarket, award winning butcher & watersports on Lake Boort. The town of Kerang is 30 minutes north and is the gateway to the Kerang Lakes & wetlandsPitch your tent or park your RV, on the banks of the Loddon River, within the paddocks of a 200ha working sheep farm. The site offers complete privacy, and you are welcome to explore the wider property from here. Ramble along the winding river, and although this part of the river is narrow, feel free to swim and fish, and discover the many billabongs and nooks. The site designated for camping is slightly grassed. It is flat in some parts and undulating in others. There is a designated spot for your campfire, and firewood is provided. All campers must have their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Pets are welcome, however we ask that they are supervised at all times as there may be sheep in nearby paddocks. We ask that you Leave No Trace and have minimal impact on the land, to ensure it's kept pristine and natural. Boort and Kerang are only 20 minutes drive with cafes and shopping available. The camp site also borders the famous Kerang Lakes and wetlands. Lake Meran is close; offering water skiing, swimming and all other water sport activities.

Second time visiting this beautiful spot. Thanks again to the owners who are really good people. Relaxing by the river watching the world slowly drift by soothes the soul.

What a hidden gem! So peaceful and beautiful, we had a very relaxing weekend, so many spots to choose to park the caravan, loved hearing the kookaburras at dusk.

Loddon River Rambler Site
Quiet and secluded
Super quiet private space. Great space for the dogs to roam. Huge amount of wood available for the roaring campfire. Right next to the creek. Great value for money.
