... Hi there and welcome to our home, Penzance! We fell in love with our slice of heaven in 2010 and adore every back breaking inch of it. It was an over grown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. We've tried to keep the bush aspect while creating a park like surround with plenty of grassy space. We have big plans for our land and hope to build a steam museum in our other area over the creek. Excitingly, we will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home. I am an actor and artist working in metal, clay and paint. I'm inspired by my flower garden and the bush that frames it. We offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more. We look forward to welcoming you to Penzance.Located close to Ballarat and nestled among the beautiful gumtrees of our peaceful camping area. We currently only offer one camp site so you will have the area to yourself. You'll wake up to the sounds of the many birds that frequent the area, and perhaps a few frogs and the large dam is home to many waterbirds and our goose, Lucy. The creek runs for part of the year, and provides a great habitat for many creatures and the billabong is a pretty spot. Kangaroos, possums and echidnas are a common sight. We have built a lovely powder room, but campers must be self sufficient with their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Ride your bikes, kick the footy, go for a hike, or just relax in nature. You are welcome to enjoy a campfire in the fire pit provided, when there are no restrictions in place. There are plenty branches and twigs on the ground to get your fire started, so don't forget the marshmallows! Pets are welcome but please keep them restrained whilst on the property to protect our wildlife. Kids under 5 stay for free!

Perfectly Secluded Bush Camp
What a wonderful, secluded campsite—beautifully calm and peaceful. The toilet was conveniently located close to the campsite but far enough away to maintain the feel of bush camping. The built-in fire pit was fantastic, with all the trimmings you’d need to cook up a storm!

A hidden oasis
This was a lovely private site where you felt hunkered down in a lovely little valley. The wildlife symphony was lovely to hear in this beautiful bush setting. The rustic style with a surprise beautifully decorated powder room was fabulous. The fire pit kindling was set on arrival and the dining table and fire grill great touches. We loved our stay here.

Great place.
We loved out time at this property. Clean and well set up site, flat site which is always a bonus when arriving late. Great fireplace and the nicest camp toilet we have ever come across. Lots of native bird and animals around.

It's isolation with charm
Yeah this is what you want in a camp setup! WINNER on all fronts for communication, presentation, quirky facility use, location, additions not to mention a million stars and wildlife to look at. The firepit was fantastic and much appreciated with a load of wood as ordered. Didn't see the owner's at all but they accommodated us just fine.
