Diverse 20 acre self-reliant permaculture farm, a perfect getaway from the city to reconnect with nature and animals, and enjoy the peacefulness under a starlit sky. Productive homestead with olive grove, orchard, milking goats, cat, bee hives, vegetable gardens and free roaming chooks. Lots of shady trees, screen plantings, bird life and other small wild animals. Farm produce available. Free stick fire wood available to collect around the farm. Children welcome under your full responsibility. Calm quiet dogs only, must be kept on leash at all times. There are off leash areas nearby. Peaceful unpowered sites within walking distance of train station and Violet Town shops, library, post office, public swimming pool, walking track, and health clinic. The second Saturday of the month has the big Violet Town market. Within 30 km are beautiful Strathbogie ranges with granite country hiking, wildlife and natural swimming pools.

Pines Carob Area - pets possible
Beautiful place
We had a lovely 3 nights at David’s place. His son was very helpful in setting us up and giving us information about local places. The trees at this camping spot are magical! The light as the sun sets between the trees is something to see. Walking distance to town and clean compost toilets. Thanks for a great stay.

Murrnong is a lovely farm. The campsites are under some beautiful trees providing lots of shade. David showed us around the farm and my grandaughter was delighted to spend time with the goats and chickens. Violet Town township is a short walk away and is a lovely little town. Also has a railway station so there’s the option of catching the train up next time! Thanks for having us David :)

Nice for a stop by
Beautiful setting visually and spatially. Only ever two or three other families around and pleasant vibes. Unfortunately we couldn't swim in the dam of which pictures were shown in the ad with people jumping in because of some bacterial issue we were told about upon arrival. The main downer for us were that you can hear a highway nearby and once or twice a day a loud train.

Loved camping under the trees at the plantation lots of cover and shade Lovely hosts with lots of little things you can buy that are grown on the farm And meeting the goats was a big highlight

Camping amongst the pine trees
Wild and natural farm location covered in pine trees. Lots of birdlife in an otherwise quiet and peaceful location. David was super friendly and helpful. Good distance between other campers to enjoy some privacy. Would recommend.
