The farm backs onto the Mt Alfred State Forest and is close to the beautiful Mitchell River National park. Mt Alfred is a fantastic forest with many great tracks to explore on horse back, mountain bike or on foot. Horses and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of space on a large, grassy flat area for camping and parking. There are paddocks for horses and a guide is available. The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Great spot
We had a wonderful time staying on Tony's land. We are new to Hipcamp so weren't sure what to expect, and it was all we could have wanted and more. The amenities were great with toilet, shower, fire pit and camp kitchen. The area was great to have our reactive dog offleash. The beautiful bird and frog sounds during the night was a welcome treat. Highly recommend.

Mt Alfred Camping and Horse Riding
This was our first experience with Hipcamp and I have to say Tony made the whole thing easy and enjoyable. From the instructions on how to get there to all the little extras hot shower, clean toilets, the whole experience was great. Plenty of room, an abundance of walking tracks to explore, local bird and wildlife gives plenty of choice in what to do or just sit and relax. Tony has set the bar very high for future camps. The Beagles will be back.

Mt Alfred Camping and Horse Riding
The campsite was grassy, contained and allowed for good space between tents/vans in our group. The bird life was abundant and the frogs songs at night were memorable! The toilet and shower facilities were great, and Tony and Rhonda were fabulous hosts; our kids enjoyed patting their horses. We will be back!

Tonys land was amazing, it had all amenities one would need. Highly recommend! Fully fenced for the dogs to run around.

Tony was a great host, had a fantastic chat and definitely couldn't recommend enough if you're looking for something quiet and happy to take it easy. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic Camp
We stayed 5 nights on Tony's land with our dog and absolutely loved it. It has great facilities, including shower and toilet. The area was great with a variety if birds and frog song at night. A great location for exploring various areas.
