A beautiful tranquil camping location on a picturesque crater lake in the south West of Victoria. A working farm you will be close to nature... cows, sheep, trees, birds even koalas! Lake Keilambete is surrounded by farm land so this is the only way to experience this salt lake...no fish but you can float your cares away!! Come and enjoy an amazing location!Site is a 1 acre fenced site on the shores of Lake Keilambete, a volcanic salt crater lake. Amenities on site include water, hot showers and flushing toilet...but all tank water so be water wise! Jetty onsite and a dip in the healing properties of the lake will make you feel amazing! Sunrise and sunset view free of charge. Open to the elements remember one day can be still and calm...others are wild and windy! But an amazing place and the only place to experience it 🙏

Faraway Lodge
Faraway offered a secluded spot to pitch our tent, a great utility shed (shower, toilet, kitchenette), fire pit, and salt lake for a bracing and restorative swim. Bruce is a welcoming and amiable host – having led us to the campsite (well away from the farm house), and replenished the kindling for the fire, he left us in total privacy. Really beautiful place to stop on a meandering drive through SW Victoria.

Awesome time!
We loved it at Faraway Lodge. The view was amazing and the kids loved the lake. Star gazing was top notch. Our host Bruce was easy going and very accommodating. Facilities made it easy at camp and there was an epic fire pit. Can’t wait to come back.
