Unfortunately we actually couldn’t stay at the accommodation. We arrived on the first day of winter and it was bitterly cold. My daughter was a little unwell but wouldn’t have been a problem had there been adequate facilities. Please note before you stay the toilet is very far away from the tent (we didn’t actually find it it was so far away) and there is no power anywhere near the site. We have stayed at other glamping facilities in the past where we have had electric blankets and heaters. This is not glamping. There were blow up beds for our daughters and a mattress on the floor for myself and my husband to sleep on, nothing raised off the floor. No firelighters supplied and advice that if we used the firewood we would be charged $80 for it. I understand that this is a new venture but I think in order to achieve a ‘glamping’ status you need to provide more than a tent in the middle of a field of cows and throw in some firewood for almost the $300 per night price tag. We left. I text the owner. No refund/compensation/return stay was offered. It was my husband’s birthday.

Exceptional glamping experience
With pets
Oak was an incredible host, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after. His property is stunning, we feel completely recharged after the sunset and sunrise in front of the fire and amongst the cows, sheep and kangaroos. Will definitely go back

John was very hospitable and nothing short of amazing! The kids had a great time. Beds were comfortable and bedding was extra comfortable. The views are beautiful. The stars are spectacular at night. Overall, was an exceptional experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for a low key getaway.

Great views and comfy glamping
We had 2 nights on Elysium Hill. Highlights included the friendly animals -cows, doggo, kitties, donkeys and a horse. Also plentiful mobs of kangaroo roam in the morning. The set up in the bell tent was fairly comfy. Another highlight is that the bell tent is on a hill so you get to see the sunrise and because we had a full moon - we had a beautiful full moon show. Last point- The owner was responsive to our queries while we were there. For newbies to camping - this might be good for you or if you want to be close to Melbourne. However, it is probably too pricey for my budget in the future (it was a very last minute trip) but it was good for a splurge and to check out central Victoria. Last point to be mindful of, there is a bathroom but its a 5 minute walk up the hill so might be difficult at night to get too without torches.
