We are so excited to add out two girls Little Pattie (red and built in 1963) and Peggy Sue (mint and built in 1959). As soon as we get the toilet and shower ready, they will be listed. We also have ordered wood fired hot tubs that should arrive by Easter. We have heaps of animals -goats, sheep, horses, miniature horses, dogs, cats, and pigs. We have two milking goats We have fresh eggs in season. We can supply fresh rain water. There are two dams, which could have yabbies (we did put them in there). Locally, there are many attractions which you can see and do. Ballarat and Ararat are approximately 30 minutes either way. Ararat has the historic J Ward for the criminally insane, and Aradale Asylum. The Grampians National Park is 1 hour away. Skipton Rail Trail is close by as well. Beaufort has cafes, Op Shops, pubs, galleries and all the takeaway regulars. Beaufort Market is currently not running, Avoca (40 minutes away) is the fourth Sunday and the huge Talbot Market (40 minutes away) is the third Sunday in the month. Dogs are welcome, as long as they don’t chase the animals. There are no facilities here, but we will have a toilet and shower for the March long weekend, and we are hiring a portable toilet for the Pyrenees Hideaway.

Earth’s Edge
Cute farm, very windy site
Overall, we had a good time. Unfortunately, the tent site was sandwiched between two cabin sites, so it wasn't as private as we expected. The toilet was also located between the two cabins, which meant our tent site was next to the toilet. We suspect the tent site has moved since it wasn't what we expected based on previous reviews and photos. The owners have built a new fence to keep the farm animals out of the area, which is great for dogs. However, the animals do come up to the fence, so make sure your dogs are comfortable with this. We also found the site to be very windy. The jacuzzi heater pipe and covers were blown over in the strong winds, and our tent actually broke. Luckily, this happened on the second day in the afternoon rather than in the middle of the night, so we headed home earlier than planned. We recommend changing the tent spot or only pitching tents on days when strong winds are not expected. The farm animals were very cute and friendly! We can see what the owners are trying to create here and wish them all the best.

A menagerie of barnyard friends.
Judy's lovely patch of rural farmland is my favourite Hipcamp so far. I was chasing a quiet campout in my tent away from noise and chaos and this ticked all the boxes. Super curious and friendly calves and goats, peaceful energy, great communication regarding gate code and access. Smidgen of Telstra reception up by the gate. Thanks Judy.

Visiting Judy and Kay’s Farm at Earth's Edge was a delightful experience! The farm is incredibly picturesque, with stunning views that instantly put you at ease. I had so much fun interacting with the friendly animals, who are clearly well cared for. Judy and Kay were wonderful hosts, making the visit even more enjoyable with their warm hospitality. If you're looking for a peaceful and fun getaway, this is the place to be!

Cosy and Magical Stay
We had the most wonderful stay here! Such a clean, loved and well thought out place to stay. The fire pit and hot tub were certainly highlights on a cold winters night. We also enjoyed cooking our dinner over the open fire with all cooking equipment provided. The loo was very clean and well equipped. This trip has been a real highlight of my 2024 winter! Will definitely be back.

Earth’s Edge
An incredible stay with so much to enjoy! Judy was a great communicator and we were greeted on the day by her relative who was very helpful and kind. The highlight of the stay was definitely the free roaming animals who were all very friendly! I was also impressed with the amenities including a well stocked compostable toliet! Keep in mind, the morning dew can make things a little muddy.
