We have just taken over the property so lovingly developed by Jo and Hoff. We will continue to offer Book a Paddock & The Stables as listings for those wanting to camp or have a lux experience. Some of you have asked for parties and events. At this time we dont have the infrastructure in place to get this rolling. Thank you so so much for your support, your quiet and respectful enjoyment of our property. We are humbled you chose us to spend your heartbeats with. For now, Belinda and Robert ********************************************************************************* Exclusively yours, this acreage of privacy was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool piece of privacy in the Macedon Ranges. Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala. With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce. Walking the trials around Hanging Rock is a 10 minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min. If you've come for the peace and tranquility - check out our extras to make your stay just that bit more homey. We look forward to saying hi soon!** May 2022 ** Yes - its that time.... wet weather setting in... getting very cold..... access is... sloppy.... no other way of putting it really peeps... soorrrryyyyyy !!!!!   SO - thats why the calendar has done a "gate shut" till Spring. Look please check out The Stables On Knox - I know its a skyrocket well past what you were planning to $pend, but, hey - its roof is solid - no tent pegs (bad joke... sorry) - gather another couple - split the cost .... just a suggestion... otherwise - see you very soon in Spring "our lovely hippers" - we loooove you <3 <3  ********************************************************************************************* Spring 2022......  Welcome to your private "Upper Stargazers Paddock" (as recent guests called it on their inaugural adventure) solely and exclusively!  For previous guests - this means you venture past the houses and the old site (sorry, I know, people have moved into the house now - anyways), head on through the bottom gate, down the embackment, over Dry Creek - skirt the southern boundary cypress pine tree line as you ascend through the gates into the far western paddock BEHIND the cypress pine tree line to the north.  What does that mean for you? Peace, privacy, kangaroo watching and bliss time with exclusive use for you.  The same as last year - we only have 1 booking at a time - and once you've booked - its yours! (And theres still full 4G and 5G coverage. ) The downside bit - here it is - it means we are very weather dependent - and vehicle dependent.  4WD and 2WD vehicles and 4WD caravans will successfully navigate the rural terrain in dry conditions.   If there has been 20mm or more of rain - conditions will dampen and may temporarily prevent access. Sun dries the ground easily and so when the rain stops - one sunny day usually clears it up - sounds like a song lyric! Anyway... back to your booking decision making... look - if you are concerned at this point - message us please... we can back n forth privately...  Whilst all this sounds a little precarious - and it can be - the rewards are greater.  The opportunity of a fully private camp site encapsulates - no people, no road noise and no visible buildings, houses or structures for as far as you want to look.  Partial views of the neighbors dam - depending on where you want to park yourself, are rather serene.  We still open the gates (and our socially distanced arms) for you in your self-contained RV/caravan/camper - just note access considerations of course.  There is a 1/2 44 gal drum fire pit area, with low seating on logs for approx. 12-15 people. Firewood, coffee and muffins delivered to site - see Extras when booking. There is still a lot of fallen gum, pine cones and dead fall under all the trees - so fossick around - its cheaper and good for the soul. :) Pets welcome however please refer to property rules around this.  If this is all too much and you feel like a treat - check out "The Stables On Knox" listing for a bit o lux ;)

It's a great little spot—not quite the same as in the pictures—but I have no complaints. It's very secluded and private, and there's easy access.

Great space! Plenty of room and great privacy. Was really windy day and night but the surrounding trees block a fair bit of it!
