Yes this gorgeous cottage is famous! The Restoration process was filmed for ABC’s Restoration Australia! Check it out on I view. “Season 3 Clydesdale” “Aunty Med’s Cottage” built in 1850 is a step back in time. The Restoration process was filmed for ABC’s Restoration Australia! Check it out on I view. “Season 3 Clydesdale” “Aunty Med’s Cottage” built in 1850 is a step back in time. Everything has been thought of to create a special getaway from the hustle, and bustle of the city in a beautiful bush setting. Whilst we have taken care of all the creature comforts, this is an experience. (Head to Daylesford if you’re after a hotel) Many happy guests have stayed here! The space Step through the gate into your own garden of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The garden is fenced therefore if you have a little dog they will be safe. As much as we love the ambiance of the 1850s cottage we do like modern amenities, we have built a new bathroom accessed via the verandah with a covered outdoor claw foot bath! We have provided a BBQ and outdoor furniture for your convenience. Inside the cottage, you have cooking facilities which include; a double electric hot plate, frypan, saucepans, kettle, toaster, and a convection microwave. Tea, coffee, and yummy breakfast ingredients are provided. We don’t expect you to use the colonial oven but if you feel like whipping up a batch of scones (in the cooler months) you are welcome to use it. (Instructions can be provided). Guest access Aunty Med’s Cottage is located in Clydesdale. The cottage has its own private fenced-in garden. From the garden, you can view the orchard area which will be blooming with daffodils in early spring! In the cooler months, there is also a lovely fire pit area where you can cook your marshmallows! The areas that are private have been signed to avoid confusion. There is a signed parking spot for your car next to the right-hand side of the cottage. Other things to note The cottage is original, the floor is handmade brick worn with time. It is gently undulating so if you're not sure on your feet please be aware! Flat shoes are a good start. If you are lucky you may spot or hear the endangered brush-tailed phascogales or many amazing birds. The cottage is original however I have purpose-built its surrounds to create a beautiful private setting. This is one of three beautiful cottages on the 1.5-acre property. Please see my listing for “The Beautiful Bush Retreat”. I also adore living in the one closest to my heart. Each cottage has a private, separate garden. I make a big effort to ensure you enjoy your privacy and peace whilst staying.
