Jane purchased the property as a nearly bare paddock and developed it into a native parkland surrounding her mud brick home, which she designed and built. Jane displays her art inside the house and in the garden. The climate is dry, the grass generally dies off for 6 months of the year, when the ground becomes suitable to drive on. The western boundary borders national park, box-ironbark forest. This venue is on 2 hectares of open native parkland with mature trees and a dam. Campsites back onto the box-ironbark forest of Greater Bendigo National Park and have both sun and shade to suit the sunny temperate climate. Well established undulating bushwalking and mountain bike trails start from the property. Spot kangaroos and enjoy birdsong while you relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the natural environment and open garden around Jane’s mud brick home.  This camp site is suited to those who wish to bring out their art materials to explore your creativity. Enjoy chatting with the artist and be inspired to be artistic.  The local attractions of Bendigo are within a short distance, the CBD is 12 minutes by car, and it's a 10 minute walk to bus stop.  Self contained RVs with own toilet/shower amenities only. Sites 1 and 2, dry season camping only.

Great location with added bonus!
The site was very convenient to Bendigo central. We had a choice of where to park. We have a 21’3” ( plus draw bar) van and we could get it in but needed care, Jane guided me most helpfully. Jane is a wonderfully talented artist and we enjoyed spending a little time with her looking at her work. A couple of kangaroos frequent the block, as it’s adjacent to the national Park on one side and a built up area on the back boundary.

Jane is lovely and friendly and we loved camping on flat ground near the dam with our dog and watching the Rosellas. Thanks Jane for sharing your property.

Peaceful quiet location
Jane was a very friendly, helpful and accommodating host. She even set us up our own campfire area. We loved the bush environment and the quiet location, the kangaroos visiting us on Easter Sunday. It was very close to Bendigo and the national park. It’s worth double checking the size of your rig with Jane and where it will fit on the property as some sites are more accessible than others.

Thanks so much for having us on your beautiful property Jane. We loved camping beside the dam amongst the gum trees with plenty of bird life and cooking our meals on the community fire. Jane is a great host, very welcoming. We cut back some shrubs and Jane cooked us some date & walnut sour dough. Was very tasty. Cheers Julie & Rob 😊😊

Quiet and charming rural setting
Jane is absolutely lovely and a very friendly host. Her property is very peaceful and charming with the cleared camp sites set amongst gum trees next to a dam. The bird life was wonderful as they constantly sang and chattered around us. Her property is very conveniently close to the city but far enough out of town that it is very quiet and rural. Would definitely recommend to others.
