Site 3 - Old Stone House Museum, NEK, VT
I enjoyed a couple nights at site 3. Great Value option for those looking for a simple place to stay. Beautiful location. The grounds of the Old Stone House complex are beautiful. I really loved the view over the area from the observatory. Site three is on a slight hill in an open field. The elevation is a little higher so it tends to be a few degrees cooler. I had the bad luck to be there for a strong windstorm that blew my tent across the field despite having 10-15 lbs of stuff in it (luckily it caught on the stone fence by the road). The road was pretty quiet with minimal traffic. It was interesting to see some of the Amish folk in the area.

Just what I needed
A magnificent historic site that overlook mountains! Every think I needed, calm, splendide views , sunrise at the door and a belvédère to view mounrains. Near Mount Pisgah for hiking. In extra , outside portable toilet , and an electric station to recharge. Near a donkey refuge that was nice to go I will definitely go back . Tha

This is a beautiful village!
This a beautiful & well cared for property of significant historic value. The tour is definitely worth taking and all staff were very friendly. There are several walking paths that connect to the camping area. Very quiet!

I loved camping here at the Museum. I was there during the week a few times and it was quiet and peaceful. The restroom was clean and there was water available by outdoor hose. Would definitely stay again!!

Site 2 - Old Stone House Museum, NEK, VT
The museum was easy to find as there was signage throughout the area and the sites were clearly labeled which was helpful because we arrived after hours. We got there just in time to see a beautiful sunset over the surrounding fields and mountains. The sunrise was also incredible above the misty cow pastures. Staff was friendly and the surrounding area has a great deal to explore. Will definitely go back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Old Stone House village. The Amish farmers riding their carriages by made it seem like we were back in the day of Alexander Twilight! Yea - we saw a few side-by-side atv's but not a big deal like one review complained about. They were regular people getting about town - not local yahoos tearing up the roads. We highly recommend this quaint little historic village.
