Misty Mountain Farm Camping
It was a nice enough simple place with a friendly host and cute farm animals. It was up a dirt road. There wasn’t firewood even though it was advertised.

Hard to find, but the neighbors were glad to help get us to the right spot. No service for miles. Lovely friendly goats that didn't smell as bad as expected.

Misty Mountain Farm Camping
Sheep and goats and a friendly dog.
This is a cute litt farm campsite. There’s a wooden deck to pitch a tent on, which was handy in the rain. It’s not a private site at all, so there that, but I enjoyed the sheep and goat neighbors, as well as the passing turkeys. It’s a little tricky to find (Google is not entirely reliable here), but it’s nevertheless a nice base from which to explore the area. Be prepared to throw a tennis ball for the dog.

Wonderful farm / farming family and a lot of well-kept animals! There was a really beautiful morning mist when I stayed too.

Exactly what we needed
We had an amazing time here. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Our son played with the goats and loved all of the animals. The area has great hikes, and more than a few perfect water holes in the local rivers to explore. We are definitely coming back.
