Sheyenne was very accommodating. The land was gorgeous; we could hear cows, which we loved. Definitely would recommend at least a suv for the road. We had a smaller suv and it did great. Very spacious and separated from other sites. It’s primitive camping so bring the necessities. Worth the money!

Peaceful stop
This was a great stop, I felt safe as a solo traveling woman sleeping in my Forester (no pets with me). Beautiful sunset, clear night sky and sunrise. The turn off road was a bit hard to see but once I turned around and went slow I found it. Road noise really wasn’t all that bad.

Good setting in nature, yet not too far off I-70. Good communication from Sheyenne. A great value for what I paid.

It worked out great! Only con is everyone driving by could see me parked, cars came through 1 about every 15-30 min. At one point kids were screaming on an ATV, lots of them would go by. Pros by a beautiful hot spring!

The site was just okay for our purposes. The picture was spot on. We feel that the site could use some gravel and additional leveling.

Great site!
Last minute reservation needed and we got in about 1am after driving 4 hours from Arches. The nightingales and crickets were in full song and we woke up to an amazing view all around us. Very simple site but perfect for the money and convenience and scenery!
