Perfect spot to start watch the eclipse! Ryan was responsive, helpful, and kind during our visit. If you’re passing through and need an easy stop over, it’s a great place to do so!

Camping away from crowds
Very friendly host. Nice place to camp if you want more privacy. Get to the place during day light. We drove there at night, and we wouldn’t have found the location if it weren’t for Ryan chasing us down lol. We enjoyed the dark night sky too. There’s no hook ups, no showers, no toilets so come prepared!

Camping on a farm!
We had a great time. Campsite was easy to get too, the site was quiet, clean, and secluded. Ryan was easy to get ahold of and super accommodating! BYO-toliet!

Merrill's Getaway
We really enjoyed boondocking on Ryan's land. We were in town for the solar eclipse and the location/eclipse did not disappoint. Ryan stopped over to check on us and was the perfect host. He cleared a spot for our dog to walk to a grassy area and play. There were numerous other campers on Ryan's land but none were in our view. Would stay here again if we ever come back to the area.

Great stargazing!!
I had a good time camping here. The stargazing was amazing. Location is close to a lot of recreational areas including National parks. Closest gas station is about 15 mins away. Your only neighbors are the cows next door. Very private, but little to no shade. The only thing it’s missing is a port-a-potty.
