Glamping in the Wildflower Cottage
Great site and beautiful view. The cabin is cute and has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker and a small air conditioner, but other than that you should pack everything like regular camping. There is a built in leash anchor for your dog. Bring a portable toilet and your own toilet paper if you don’t want to have to walk around a pond to a public shower house every time you need the bathroom. Also it’s a public shared shower house and gets crowded with only two showers. The fire pit is right in front between the front door/porch and the river. There are two chairs on the porch. The staff at the resort are wonderful and super friendly. Missy and Mindy both took great care of us. The restaurant is amazing but doesn’t serve breakfast or desserts and costs about $20 per person. Bring other food options or prepare to pay. It is worth bringing a little stove to cook a few meals. The river float was great but listen carefully to the instructions. A few riders ran into trouble at the end. The night stars are magic and the bed is comfy. The room comes with a few extra blankets in case you get cold. Very cozy and we can’t wait to come back.

It fell short of basic upkeep
The concept of this campground is fun and unique. As a frequent camper and boondocker, I'm used to ruffing it, so i wasnt expecting 4 star accomodations. The basics at this campground were not met and it was disappointing. When first entering our cabin, the walkway was filled with weeds at shoulder height. We had brought food to keep in the fridge and quickly found it didn't work. So, we ended up spending extra $ for ice to keep our food from spoiling. Then, we went the bathroom and found zero toilet paper, nothing to dry our hands, and it looked like the bathrooms had not been cleaned in a while. So, with driving for 8 hours to get there, we jumped back in the car to go to the next town over to get toilet paper. We were there for 4 nights and there was a large female teen group there at the same time. The only time the bathroom facilities were properly cleaned and somewhat stocked was on the last day we were there. Be prepared for bugs, especially by the cabin entrance. We literally had to run in the door to avoid letting bugs inside. A coffee maker was provided but I had to put the machine on the floor to make my coffee because the cord would not reach the outlet. The plus side, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well, and the views are beautiful. Usually, I can overlook one inconsistancy and write a review based on the overall experience. But sadly, this was not the case.

Campsite 2 - Back In
The RV campground was half empty, but they still only let you book the worst spots on Hipcamp. The Hipcamp offer says that restrooms are available without mentioning a price, but you have to pay a fee to use them when you arrive. In the restrooms itself it states that they are free of charge for guests, but we were still forced to pay to get the code for the door. The toilets are not well maintained or cleanly. Two of the sinks were broken and there was hair in the shower. The only plus is the small shop they have and the view on the mountain is nice. If you have the option, you should go somewhere else.

Campsite 17 - Back In
Beautiful spot right by the River! Volleyball area right across the way. Friendly for dogs on a leash. Beautiful view of the Big Rock Candy Mountain. Wifi is a little spotty but we were not there to be on the phones or internet. Hopefully, will get back here someday. So much to explore!
