There are also very nosy & friendly longhorns and wildlife including deer, hogs, turkeys, skunks, racoons, armadillo, opossums, wild large cats, coyotes, ducks, snakes and who knows what else! Pecans and Long Horns
This land was so fun to stay on! The hosts give great directions and are super communicative. The property itself is stunning, sleeping amongst the Pecan trees, watching the long horns take their morning walks to their perspective pastures, I cannot recommend this stay enough. We will be back!

Farm Camping at its Best!
Our stay at The Nut Farm with host Sherry was exceptional! Her and her family were very accommodating and hospitable! She was very responsive and helpful. The farm itself was picturesque with friendly farm animals such as their longhorn cattle. Some which camped out with us! lol. We saw lots of wildlife as well like deer in the evening and morning. All set around a gorgeous pecan orchard. There are numerous places to set up camp! I will definitely be back in the future.

Peaceful with Pecans
Super great hosts, amazing location. We boondocked in our camper between the rows of the pecan trees and biked around the property. We got to see the farm animals with the hosts, and had the long horns visit us at the campsite. would definitely stay here again!

Camping with Longhorns
My family spent four days on property and really had a great time. The hosts are very nice and provided great communication. We went in Oct and the area was very dry. The thing I was most interested in was fishing and that was not really possible when we visited, so that was a let down. I loved the location as we were about an hour away from home. I did not think the night sky was all that dark in this location, but the moon was waxing each night and it was pretty bright. So check the phase if you are interested in star gazing. The property had many spots to camp. The longhorns free range the property, and each morning we woke up to our hosts in the campsite. They are very well mannered, but still very large with very large horns and we did have to clean up around the site after our "visits". The property is a pecan farm as well and wood was readily available on the ground. I think we cleaned up about an acre of land with the random wood laying around. Two areas that could be improved: (1) there are zero ammeditites. An outhouse, picknick table, etc would really add to the visit that is multiple days. (2) there was a dumpster but it was completely full and we could not use it and had to drive our trash and waste to town, really not fun. We took a portable toilet and tent that worked for the visit, but this would be a must. I would highly recommend, this is a great property, just know if you want it, take it with you!

Summer camping at the nut farm
Great time at the nut farm. Location was secluded and freshly mowed. Bunch of good spots that the owner showed us and many with shade. Will be back.
