We bought our property in 2003. Built our completely off-grid cabin in 2009, and moved out here full time in 2015. Since 2015 we've been continually improving our property and in 2019 had the idea to start a small campsite on the backside of our property in a private valley. A valley that while private and secluded has excellent 360 degree views.

Epic Views of Corazones Peaks
One of my favorite Hipcamp sites in the Terlingua area! The campsite is tucked back into a fantastic area with 360 degree views of mountains, including the Corazones Peaks. These are some of the most striking mountains in the Big Bend region and I chose this campsite specifically for that view. There are only two sites total, and they are generously spaces apart for privacy. The pit toiler is very clean and did not smell at all when I was using it. The host gave perfect driving directions to the property and I had no trouble finding it at all. Stay here a few nights and take the opportunity to drive to the peak of the Christmas Mountains (must get permit at the Terlingua Ranch lodge) and take a dip in the pool at the Terlingua Ranch. In the morning, I was surprised by a while family of Mule Deer and an army of Scaled Quail. The wildlife was really fun to observe at this campsite. I will definitely be back in the future!

Camping at perdido overnight camp
I had a great experience camping at perdido overnight, Brad helped me set up my tent and pointed out great hiking spots in the area. It was a very huge plot of land and I hiked for 8+ hours on the beautiful trails. There’s lots of wildlife around and I enjoyed all the breathtaking views!

A unique and special experience
We went to Texas for the eclipse and spent two weeks between hill country, Big Bend, Terlingua, Austin, etc. By far the stand out experience of our trip was 3 days camping on Bradley's land. We hoped for privacy, seclusion, peace, serenity, beautiful landscapes, exotic (for us!) desert flora and fauna, and those storied Texas night skies filled with stars. We got everything we wanted and more! The shade provided by the sturdy sunshade and the convenience of the clean and fresh composting toilet made the stay even more comfortable and unforgettable. The views of the Christmas Mountains above and the long range views of the desert below were phenomenal. Terlingua Ranch Resort is only a short drive away for lunch, ice, etc. If you are looking for that backcountry experience, are a fan of primitive camping, and have a vehicle you are comfortable taking on rough, dirt roads - I promise you will love this special place.

Wonderful stay!
Brad was a great, hospitable host. He came to greet us, gave us a lay of the land and made sure we had everything we needed. The campsite was wonderful! It was clean and level with fantastic views. We woke up to deer and quail and awesome stars. We’ll definitely be back!
