CD&J Mini Ranch is a 35-acre farm and ranch in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We became Certified Naturally Grown and started thinking about and implementing ways to treat our land better. We raise and sell beef, pork, chickens, eggs, holiday turkey and seasonal vegetables. We are on a lake that normally has a lot of fish, but due to the extreme drought we have experienced, the lake is dry, but we still have excellent bird watching. It is the first time that our lake has dried up and it is definitely due to our extra hot and dry year. We have a quiet place for you to rest with enjoy the sounds of our animals. We have picnic tables under shade trees and an available flushing outhouse for those in smaller camping set ups.
We really love what we do here at our mini ranch and hope you will too.
I like Cynthia's camp area. Enjoyed the views and calm relaxing place.

I throughly enjoyed my stay here! The farm dog jack was a nice touch, since I am a solo traveler it was cool to have a dog to hang with. An awesome farm with great winds. It was an easy drive to the beach and back everyday.

This is fantastic property, and I wish I could have stayed more than just one night. Plenty of space to spread out and get comfy. I car camped, so having access to a flushing toilet was a nice comfort feature. The sunset here is spectacular, and the farm animals sing you an enthusaistic lullaby as darkness falls.
Even in the hottest part of Summer, I was not bothered much by insects. Jack, the farm dog, is a welcome companion for solo campers, and host Cynthia is super nice and very welcoming.
Overall, I had a great stay, and I definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for accommodations in the Brownsville area.
