My late husband and myself bought the property in 1983 and it was all just overgrown land! We worked, cleared, built horse shelters/barns, cabins, cut trails, built the outdoor chapel for our wedding and of course fenced it all in for the horses! Started sharing with guests in 1993, so we have met so many amazing folks from all over the world!  Pass thru our gate into another world and leave all your worries and tensions behind. We are all about getting back to what is real -- nature, animals/horses and each other. Complete privacy! There are many mountain trails leaving right from our property! Lots to explore. You can even hike to the outdoor chapel with the pretty view of the Chilhowee Mountain range.  It is a short hike to the barn area for those who want to spend time rubbing the pot belly pigs' tummy, walk the mini horses, groom the love bug~Junebug (donkey), pet horses, cuddle with bunnies and feed chickens!   Every morning and night we set a time for all those who want to become involved with the care/feeding of petting animals and horses!

Quiet Little Slice of Heaven
We loved everything about Janice's property. It's a short drive from Great Smokey Mountains National Park with a very convenient location. Cute, quiet Townsend is nearby if you need a restaurant or grocery store. The property itself is also beautiful, with dozens of different little animals and miles of hand-dug trails. We enjoyed exploring and had great privacy even with other guests and Janice on the property. There's plenty of space! We also really appreciated the accommodations at Luke's Cabin. It's simple but tidy and had everything we needed for the week - a working kitchen, a full bathroom, pretty comfy bed, and small dining and living area. We even got to use a VCR and VHS tapes for the first time since the '90s! ;) No WiFi but that's exactly what we wanted. We would definitely visit again! We had a wonderful time.

Quite remote cabin in woods
The cabin was very quaint. Bed was very comfortable. AC worked great. Was a little climb from parking to cabin. Very quiet in beautiful wooded area.

Janice’s land was so amazing! We were surrounded by so much nature and animals! Perfect place to unplug and be grounded with my sister and mom. Janice was so hospitable and her cabin is so lovely! I hope to come back again and will definitely recommend her place to my friends and family.

We had an urgent change to our plans and we’re disappointed that we missed this site. We were also disappointed we didn’t get to meet Janice in person as she was lovely in our communication about the visit.

Great property, lots of animals
The cabin was excellent! It had all the amenities we needed. It was great seeing the animals wandering around the property and getting to pet and feed them. There were some nice hiking trails of varying difficulty around the property. We would definitely come back!
