Please note: Paddock camping is temporarily unavailable until after the paddock has been cut for hay in December Situated on a small coastal farm above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island 2 options available: + There is a Camp site available for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area with lovely views. + Or upgrade to an affordable comfortable lodging in a rustic but stylish converted horse barn, with a double bed in the loft, clean sheets provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. The camp area and funky barn are in a peaceful location in a pasture paddock on 4 acres with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It's a 10-15 minute walk through the property and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach or just five minutes walk down to the sea cave. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and privacy. Dogs are subject to pre-approval, and must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. Horses are usually only here during the winter months. Dogs are not to be left inside the barn unattended, without approval. The property is fully fenced so there is plenty of space for your dog to run around and a large pond, but please be wary that we do have venomous snakes in Tasmania including Bruny Island. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. This is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping. This is rustic but cosy converted horse barn, in a central location for Bruny Island, 10 minute coastal walk down to the neck beach, 5 minute walk to the sea cave, and 5 minutes drive to adventure bay's beautiful and safe swimming beaches, general store, restaurant, bowls club, etc. The newly opened Izzy wine bar and wood fire pizza is just a few minutes drive away . Absorb the ocean views from the lounge sofa or whilst lying in the double bed upstairs in the loft. The ceiling up in the loft is attic shaped, so its a narrow space, and the access is up ladder type stairs (see photos). If you are not confident to use this type of ladder, please seek an alternative place to stay, as they are steep. The kitchen area has a dining table, the sink has a cold water tap only, but it's fresh rainwater from the tank, so it's perfect for drinking. Kettle will need to be boiled for hot water for washing dishes , and the dishwashing water needs to be disposed of on the garden, not down the sink. There is a toaster, kettle, microwave, 2 induction cooktops, tv, games, books, and a heater. Porta potti camping style toilet and gas hot water camping shower are in the outside shed. Short showers please and minimal use of soap when using shower, as it drains onto the grass. Unfortunately this shower set up is not suitable for washing hair. If we are home, you are welcome to come use the shower in the house to wash your hair. Please don't expect the high standards of Airbnb if you wish to stay here, this is a camping booking platform, so we dont charge a cleaning fee and we dont employ professional cleaners. We do however, provide you with fresh clean sheet and fresh doona cover, pillow slips and towels, and a quick clean after hipcampers have stayed. It's a cosy comfie affordable upgrade from camping without the high fees of glamping. And our overnight fees start with single rates to make it fairer for solo travellers not having to pay the same rates as a couple.

Brilliant helpful host
One of the most helpful hosts we have ever met. Bri was so awesome. Nothing was too much trouble and she even provided us with things we hadn’t brought along. No hesitation in recommending

Hipcampers Haven
Bri’s barn is warm cosy unpretentious and extremely comfortable. It includes a heater, kitchen pots, a fridge, toilet and warm shower (in small adjoining shed) and spare blankets and towels. The panoramic vista can be enjoyed from the kitchen /lounge as well as from the loft-style bed. Beautifully situated between Adventure Bay and Bruny main road. Bri was a delightful host and so accommodating given our very last minute booking. A wonderful respite for weary campers and travelers to relax and recharge!

Coast camping Adventure Bay Bruny
Beautiful views to Neack Beach and a must do is the walk to the cave. (For the adventurers as there is some climbing involved with a robe). We even saw an albino wallaby on the property. Bri is a fantastic host, who went out of her way to make it enjoyable for us. It is a magical spot and central to everything. Thanks Bri!

Coast camping Adventure Bay Bruny
Peaceful and picturesque
We had the most beautiful stay at Bri’s place on Bruny. She has an amazing property that she kindly shares, with access to the beach and sea caves both through a short, delightful forest walk. Just divine. Our pup had the best time too and it was wonderful to know that she couldn’t wander far with the fencing. Great central location also. Close to shops, cafe, pub etc. Bri was so accommodating and kind. We are already planning to go back as soon as we can!
