Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top vans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Some firewood is supplied for you. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a solar and rocket shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. An erected walker's tent is available for booking. The tent is located away from the campsite in the middle of the scrub and has chairs, tables and a fire pit for walkers use. Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 9pm The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. All campers are to respect other campers and the land that they are camping on. Plelease We look forward to welcoming you to The Scrub Campsite!

The Scrub Campsite, Inman Valley
Nice place and facility but there were some campers who ruined our experience due to being up until the early hours of the morning. This hasn’t deterred us would love to visit again in the future.

Best family friendly camp
The campsite was so much bigger than we expected from looking at the app. This is the most family friendly camp grounds I have been to: if you have kids/young teens this is a fabulous and safe place to explore and make new friends as there were quite a few families when we visited in June. Nobody is getting bored. There was also someone on site to welcome us and offer firewood and the owner popped in to check campers were ok daily. We walked with a 12yo and 10yr old to the belicious waffle cafe and slept well that evening. Will be going back soon

Great weekend in a great part of the world, with great hospitality. The cows greeting us on Sunday morning was an added bonus.

Lovely place but some concerns
It was a lovely place to stay despite the god awful weather at the beginning which made it very muddy. Mark was very accommodating, as was Ty the site manager. Lovely little additions for us to use like the yabby net and camp kitchen. What was disappointing however is that we did not get the site we booked which would have made our stay far easier with less muddy kids. Reason was a caravan couldnt get in anywhere else, but definitely could fit where we ended up. It also said this place wouldnt take vans, so go figure. So I appreciate the good but am really not happy that booking a particular site doesnt mean you get it. Whats the point of being able to choose? We wanted the damn view and friends told us it was a great flat site.
