Spear Creek is more than just another Holiday Park. Set immediately adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000 acre working sheep station providing privacy, security and an experience like no other. Spear Creek is located 25 kilometres south-east of Port Augusta, only 12km off Highway 1. Our eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. The Holiday park is nestled amongst 600 year old river red gums adjacent to the ranges. You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home. The owner operators of this tourism business are fourth generation, whose families have been farmers and graziers on this land for over 130 years.

Beautiful spot with great hosts! We didn’t have time to explore the property but loved that it was an option! Really enjoyed sitting around the fire in beautiful surroundings.

Unpowered Site
Nice location but average.
Booked an unpowered site believing from the description that we would be able to choose especially as park was far from full. Site given was unappealing and on too much of an incline to be able to level our small motor home. Facilities very old but clean. Nice location with lovely river gums, but far from a serene experience.

I loved staying here. The area is stunning and the campsite is beautiful and serene. I also managed to book myself in for the wrong day and when I turned up the team could not have been more helpful in helping me sort it out. Really gorgeous campsite. I was just sorry I was only able to stay one night.

Unpowered Site
This campsite has got to be the best I’ve stayed at!! Its almost like your out bush but you have all the luxuries, camp sites are well maintained! Would recommend anyone to come here

Tranquility
Spear Creek is a fantastic place to stay, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and walking trails and were sorry that we were pressed for time and unable to extend our stay. Tom and the girls in the office were fantastic and went out of their way to help me with my booking, thanks guys, we hope to return for a more leisurely stay soon. We would highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, John and Barb

Long weekend - everything thought o
Friendly and efficient service. Guide you to your camp site. Clean sites and amenities and a handy small store for firewood and just in case items. Busier than we expected but it was a long weekend and they notified us of this prior to our stay. Simple playground for kids, they loved it. Had a band on as well, that was great and pizza truck too for those interested. Beautiful spot and easy to get to.
