Ocean Front Arno Bay Retreat
Great location to beach and boardwalk into town just a empty paddock with scrubby ground cover ( great for no dust) but had those cat burrs but our ground mat kept them at bay no facilities but town has water and bins so all good and next door neighbours had dogs but friendly and didn't come near ours

Not worth the money
I would give this site a ZERO star rating. There is absolutely nothing there except an old, appears disused caravan. There is no identification or street number on the site, there is no road into the property only where vehicles have driven before, the grass was long and unmown. It does not cater for tourists at all.
We freecamp or low cost camp almost 100% of the time and where a charge is made, you expect some of the following facilities:
potable or non potable water
toilets
rubbish bins
electricity
tables or chairs
Camp kitchen or some building with shelter
This site had none of these facilities.
There was no caretaker that came to the property during the two days that we were there.
It is not worth the money for just a place to park a motorhome overnight.

Great views and close to the water. The bindy's that some folks complained about didn't bother us or our (long haired) pooch, nor for that matter did the neighbouring hounds who settled down not long after letting us know they knew we were there. GPS was fine getting us there, as were the host's directions. Happy to stay again if and when we return to the area

Awesome views just bring shoes
Absolutely loved this place as did our dogs. Yes there are bindis and LOTS of them but we bought a sturdy mat and wore shoes (thongs are fine) and all was good. Dogs got used to it too after a few hours and navigated around. On the plus side, this camp is 50m from the beach with great fishing and snorkeling (swimming when tide is in). We literally had it to ourselves. The camp is also right next to a walking/ cycling track that takes you into town in 6 min ride/ 15 min walk. Good cafe and pub in town and an IGA. Good swimming beach if you walk north on the boardwalk about 10 mins. Ocean views, dogs can be off the lead, beach on your doorstep…we loved it. Just bring shoes and get over the prickles!
