Six Strings is a small vineyard, approx. 6 acres, located in the McLaren Vale wine region on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, a very popular holiday destination for locals and travelers alike. We are a short drive to the local stunning beaches of Port Willunga, Silver Sands and Sellicks and of course the many McLaren Vale wineries. Also within walking distance is the historical main street of Aldinga where you’ll find the Pub, boutique Brewery, Cafes, Restaurants and shops. Enjoy a wine and/or barrel tasting at a cost of $10 pp (redeemable on any purchase) during your stay - please advise at time of booking For the complete wine lovers experience why not stay with us during vintage (Mar/Apr, depending when grapes are ready to be picked) and get “hands-on” in every stage of wine making from picking, crushing, fermenting to barrel. Enjoy one on one access to our winemaker during the whole process. We welcome pets however they must be on leash or contained at all times. We have a small Cavoodle that has free range access to the property and will likely want to befriend you (and your food!)Relatively flat space on the spare block adjacent to the house and vineyard. Guests will enjoy 3 acres of space with vineyard and olive grove views but please note there may other groups staying on the space who will be visible. Guests will need to be self contained and leave no trace. If you'd like to do a wine tasting during your stay please contact us in advance to arrange a mutually suitable time Please let us know in advance if you'd like a fire, there will be a small addition cost to cover wood

We loved our stay at Kim and Michael’s place. They were so welcoming and we loved the wine tasting in Michael’s shed. The paddock area was perfect for us - nice and peaceful, complete with a fire pit. We would definitely recommend staying here.

What a gem this campsite is! Located next to the vineyards on the property and close to some of Adelaide's best beaches and wineries. Easy access to the campsite and plenty of room for our car and caravan. Kim and her husband were extremely welcoming and friendly - not to mention their gorgeous doggo! Highly recommend staying at this beautiful spot.

Great location in iconic landscape
Thorough correspondence and instructions and punctual greeting on arrival by convivial hosts Kim and Michael. A clean and well presented pitch in attractive, relaxing and quiet settings only 20 min stroll to Aldinga township for convenience shopping and locations for well priced dinners and good coffee. Only a 10 min drive or easy half hour cycle to the stunning Port Willunga beach and foreshore. The offer of a wine tasting is not to be passed in with very reasonable quality local wines made by the hosts at a great price given the quality. A good location if travelling with a furry friend, our Cavvie had a chilled time and saw her first kangaroo! Highly recommended and will return.
