Great new Mid North Bush Camp
Heggies is a very well planned campground, with extraordinary views! Every site has a hose with bore water and a decent firepit amd most are accessible with 2wd and van, in dry weather. Although it is windy as you are on top of a range, there are plenty of sheltered sites if you prefer. Great communication from the host and plenty of firewood if you need it. The groovy flushing loo is a great luxury. The area has lots to see and do, including the local pub only just re-opened and re-furbished this year. We loved Heggies and will definitely be returning.

Our favourite camping spot to date!
Heggies Hill is incredible!!
Everything you could want in an off grid site.
Stunning views in amongst beautiful native bush land. Sites were accessible by large vans and really well presented. We stayed with a few other families. Kids had a ball riding around on their pushies!!
The loo is gorgeous and always clean.
Owners are so friendly (highly recommend to ask them if you’re not sure what site, or if in a big group!) and they have made every effort to ensure guests have a great experience at Heggies.
Give yourself at least 4 nights here, a great location with so much to see and do near by. Newly opened Tarcowie pub just down the road is a ripper!
Didn’t stay in the glamping site, but have added it to our bucket list!

Lovely deep camp site. Was able to set the swags up far enough away from the road to enjoy privacy. The toilet facilities were a great addition 👌. Will definitely book that site again. Host Alex was easy to get into contact with and come did the rounds and introduced him self to everyone.

Oct Long Weekend Site 2
Location is excellent. Views great. Our campsite (Site 2) was open on the top of a rise, so exposed to the wind which unfortunately howled for 2 days but it is that time of year. Site was not flat which made it difficult to level our caravan. This could be improved on. We paid for wood and only found out on leaving that wood was available from a central 'pick up point'. Not sure it is much of a service to pay for and then have to cart your own wood back to the campsite. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.

Stunning and perfect! Our family enjoyed this gorgeous spot with 3 other families, with children aged between 4 and 13! Completely perfect for a flinders camp experience without a huge drive from Adelaide. The site was set in beautiful scrub land with loads for the kids to do and explore. Sore 17 is a brilliant spot for 4 families! Drinks on the most impressive hill at sunset, with a view back over Melrose and Mt remarkable was a memorable highlight for us all. A spot that is incredibly special.
Alex, Maddie and their beautiful family were hospitable beyond belief! We couldn’t recommend this more highly! A stop at the local Tarcowie Hotel is a must! Thanks for having us Alex and Maddie. We can’t wait to come back!!

Perfect Campsite
This is a great campsite. Onroad caravan accessible. Dogs allowed along with fires plus you are able to purchase firewood onsite. Very quiet with great views. Plenty of trees which is great as it is at elevation, so the trees help to filter the wind.
We stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Great having water available for washing and the proper flushing toilet has been very well done.
Alex is clearly a nice guy who I am sure would be more than happy to help out if you had any issues. There are posters onsite giving you suggestions on what to do. It is centrally located so a great spot to do day trips from.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
