Bush camping and Glamping in native South Australian scrubland. Wake up to breathtaking views of the Southern Flinders Ranges with sheep and cattle roaming in the surrounding paddocks. This is the perfect hub for day trips where travelers can explore the beauty of the Mid North and return for sunset and dinner around a campfire. Our camp is 720m above sea level with one the best views overlooking the Southern Flinders Ranges! We are so lucky to have the historic Tarcowie pub open down the road just 5 minutes away, open for meals and beers. Bush campers should plan to be self-sufficient, there is a full flush toilet for use and untreated water for use at every site. However there are no showering facilities or drinking water provided. Glampers at Canoee's Realm have full amenities. Please note: each site has a picture included of the actual site, the other photos are general photos from Heggies Hill Bush Camp. This was my second time camping here, and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is wonderful, the view is stunning, and at night, the stars are so clear. I’ll definitely be back for a third time!🏕️🩷

The location is great with trees and lots of birds. The sites are well set out with fire pit and water. There is firewood available and the toilet is excellent.

Great new Mid North Bush Camp
Heggies is a very well planned campground, with extraordinary views! Every site has a hose with bore water and a decent firepit amd most are accessible with 2wd and van, in dry weather. Although it is windy as you are on top of a range, there are plenty of sheltered sites if you prefer. Great communication from the host and plenty of firewood if you need it. The groovy flushing loo is a great luxury. The area has lots to see and do, including the local pub only just re-opened and re-furbished this year. We loved Heggies and will definitely be returning.

Our favourite camping spot to date!
Heggies Hill is incredible!! Everything you could want in an off grid site. Stunning views in amongst beautiful native bush land. Sites were accessible by large vans and really well presented. We stayed with a few other families. Kids had a ball riding around on their pushies!! The loo is gorgeous and always clean. Owners are so friendly (highly recommend to ask them if you’re not sure what site, or if in a big group!) and they have made every effort to ensure guests have a great experience at Heggies. Give yourself at least 4 nights here, a great location with so much to see and do near by. Newly opened Tarcowie pub just down the road is a ripper! Didn’t stay in the glamping site, but have added it to our bucket list!

Lovely deep camp site. Was able to set the swags up far enough away from the road to enjoy privacy. The toilet facilities were a great addition 👌. Will definitely book that site again. Host Alex was easy to get into contact with and come did the rounds and introduced him self to everyone.

Oct Long Weekend Site 2
Location is excellent. Views great. Our campsite (Site 2) was open on the top of a rise, so exposed to the wind which unfortunately howled for 2 days but it is that time of year. Site was not flat which made it difficult to level our caravan. This could be improved on. We paid for wood and only found out on leaving that wood was available from a central 'pick up point'. Not sure it is much of a service to pay for and then have to cart your own wood back to the campsite. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.
