Dreaming of a retreat in the heart of the Adelaide Hills? Bradbury Nature Retreat is located on a stunning 11 acre property that offers glorious uninterrupted views all the way to Aldinga Beach (just ask the host to show you where you can find this secret view). The property is accessed via a private road so it is incredibly quiet and serene. Instead, get lost in the sound of wild-life all around you! Your campsite is surrounded by native trees and scrub so it’s not unusual to have kangaroos, koalas, and native birds like kookaburras and cockatoos stop by for a visit. Behind your campsite there's an organic fruit orchard filled with ducks and chickens, and a piggery where Camilla the friendly pig lives. The property also features paddocks with roaming sheep and alpacas. Let the host know if you would like a farm tour or to join in feeding the farm animals. We are a small, family owned and run hobby farm. Eggs and other farm produce for sale on request when there is surplus. Campfires allowed in winter/when restrictions aren't in place (BYO wood or ask us about buying some). Experiences around Bradbury: • Our property is 5km from Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, the home to countless Australian native animals and the only place on mainland South Australia where you can see the elusive platypus! • Just a 7-minute drive to Deviation Road Winery where you can unwind from a hard week at work with a sophisticated wine and an all-day food menu whilst surrounded by vineyards and heritage listed bushlands. • On the main street in Stirling you will find the artisan ice-creamery, chocolate and lolly shop, Hokey Pokey. Our favourite is their house-made ice-cream made with biodynamic dairy and local, seasonal produce! • If you’re looking for somewhere to go for dinner Bradbury isn’t far from the Aldgate Pump Hotel, the Stirling Hotel and the Crafers Hotel, just to name a few. • For the plant lovers, Tupelo Grove Nursery is a 7-minute drive away in the outskirts of Mylor. This family-owned nursery is a must see and is known to be the go to place for harder to find, unique plants!Bradbury Nature Retreat campsite has roughly 2000 sq feet of flat space for campers to set up their tents or RV on. You are surrounded by native trees and scrub with a fruit orchard behind you where you can see the ducks having a swim and chickens roaming daily, as well as watching Camilla the pig being fed in the piggery. All campers to bring their own camper toilet and dispose of their own waste upon leaving. Pets allowed but must be kept on a leash when on the property due to roaming livestock, 2 pet cats and 1 pet dog. We are located on a private road that is perfect for going on a peaceful morning stroll or even mountain biking. Bradbury is on the outskirts of Longwood and Mylor, and a very short drive to the shops and cafes of Stirling and Aldgate. It’s just 10 minutes to the south-eastern freeway for an easy city commute. Note: The campsite has phone/internet reception for those needing to do a bit of work while away, although we recommend forgetting your work at home instead ;)

Bradbury Nature Retreat
We had a wonderful time staying at Bradbury Nature Retreat. Georgie was absolutely lovely and the property itself is beautiful, and it is populated with lots of friendly animals. Camilla the pig was our favourite.

Fabulous Hipcamp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We loved this Hipcamp, Georgie was so welcoming and so friendly when we arrived it was lovely chatting to her. The Hipcamp has lots of space and nice views out over the trees, quite remote and secluded which we love, she’s got a little mini farm with some pigs, llamas, chickens and ducks. The location we found was perfect for exploring the local area easily, it was very central to lots of great wineries, pubs and other “touristy” things to do. The weather unfortunately wasn’t great but that didn’t deter us. She gave us the most beautiful pose of flowers, made my day/week/month, they are now sat on my kitchen bench for all to admire. We will definitely be back to stay with Georgie we highly recommend her HipCamp and give her a huge 10/10 one of our favourite Hip Camps. Thank you Suzie & Andy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Felt like hours futher than it was
How hip camp should be. Originally before airbnb bought it, Hipcamp was very good value. Unlike many Hipcamp properties who cram sites in close proximity to maximise profits, Georgie has left a good sized area for one campsite. She was very friendly and welcoming and was waiting for us at the gate. She provided clear instructions on how to get there. The site was a nice flat grass area and when I parked my ute facing away from their house, we couldn't see any other signs of humans - just bush and how we like it. My kids loved feeding the farm animals It's only about 10 mins into Stirling (but remember the way or your phone or you will get lost like us); so you can drive there to buy food if you can't be bothered cooking It feels futher away from that hole called Adelaide than it actually is.

Camping trip away.
We had a great stay on Georgie’s property. The land was completely flat and we had so much room. The best part was we were the only ones camping on the site so had it all to ourselves. We loved the animals and sleeping under the stars away from hussle and bussle but also so conveniently near so many Adelaide hills spots to visit during the day. Georgie was an amazing host and so good to communicate with.

Bradbury Nature Retreat
A lovely little property, close to Adelaide. Beautiful place with fire pit and wood ready to purchase as needed. Quiet and peaceful apart from the sounds of the resident animals which personally I loved! The pigs are an absolute hoot plus the laughing ducks remind me of growing up in the country when I was young. The campsite is one of the rare spots that is still grassy at this time of year too. The host Georgie is super friendly and a pleasure to chat to :)
