Located at the end of a bitumen road in the town of Beltana, the campsites are adjacent to the local hall. There are showers, toilets, a free BBQ in the community park , mobile phone coverage and potable water available We are the closest campground to the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. Beltana is a State Heritage listed town in Adnyamathanha country. Beltana is important as it is the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was influential in the establishment of the Overland Telegraph and was important is the states early settlement. Beltana has survived in spite of the challenges and has an excellent walking trail detailing this history for visitors. There is capacity to have a fire in a communal fire pit, but please bring your own wood. Dogs on leashes welcome. This campsite offers a safe and comfortable place for campers who are travelling through on their holiday and need somewhere to stop overnight, but two nights is recommended to give you a chance to visit this historic town. The town is significant is South Australian history and there is interpretative signage that provides the visitor with an informative trail. Whilst with us visit the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. We have the closest camping facilities.

Absolutely loved the Town Hall/Bar and the coming together of all campers. Jan’s commitment to the site is so awesome. Amazing showers and toilet facilities. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

History coming to life
Wow what can I say. We were the only ones at the camping area. We had a site that we could have a fire. We were sitting at a picnic table when Jan came up. Not only joined us for a drink but told us of the amazing history of Beltana. The amenities were the best I have ever come across. This is a little gem in the Flinders. Don't drive past stay a while

Visit a place with Historic charm
A wonderful location full of historic charm. The camp sites are well managed, with clean well looked after amenities. There is an amazing fire pit with an emu pattern etch around the side which looks wonderful when lit, adding to the charm. A great place not to be missed.

Great camp facilities, very clean and tidy toilets and showers, a couple of Firepots in the camp sites and the art collection in the Hall is worth a visit by itself.

Beltana, what an incredible little town with so much history to discover. The caravan park is excellent with the absolutely best showers you could imagine, and Jan is an excellent host. The work the Beltana Progress Association has accomplished in preserving and restoring Beltana is incredible. Loved our stay at Beltana and will recommend it to all our friends.
