Site 6 - Beltana State Heritage area
The town of Beltana is a national treasure. My two days and nights there gave me an authentic taste of outback life (but with the benefits of great mobile coverage and clean facilities). Jan and the townsfolk are to be commended on their hard work in preserving a very unique place. The closeness to Bilpena National Park is significant bonus.

Site 6 - Beltana State Heritage area
Beltana is a wonderful place, full of history, culture and nature. The facilities here were exceptionally good and very well maintained, and we had a lovely time exploring the region. We were in a camper trailer. Jan is an excellent host. This is the perfect place to stay for one or two nights if you are visiting the famous Ediacaran Fossil site nearby - only a 20 minute drive on bitumen. Highly recommend.

History coming to life
Wow what can I say. We were the only ones at the camping area. We had a site that we could have a fire. We were sitting at a picnic table when Jan came up. Not only joined us for a drink but told us of the amazing history of Beltana. The amenities were the best I have ever come across. This is a little gem in the Flinders. Don't drive past stay a while
