Cherry Creek Site
A great weekend away just around the corner from home. We had our own little creek to kayak in and had fun catching red claw and watching them race back into the water. After our camp fire dinner we were surprised at how bright the stars were. Thanks Matt! We'll definitely be coming back for more relaxing weekends so close to home but worlds apart.

My family had the best weekend at Yaraandoo Cherry creek site. So close to Townsville yet felt so far from civilisation! Plenty of wildlife and kids were entertained with the trampoline, kayaks, fire pits and catching red claw! No one used their iPads the whole weekend! The best family time ever! The camp grounds are beautifully kept and communication with Matt was fast and reliable. We will be sure to book again!

Escape to Yaraandoo
We had a fabulous time! Loved exploring the outdoors. The kayaking and red claw fishing were definitely the highlights for us. We loved the open firepit under the stars as well. The location was very convenient and a great weekend getaway from Townsville. The campground was spacious, and far enough away from adjacent neighbour campers. Loved the peacefulness and sounds of wildlife. Matt was very informative and gave great advice. We will definitely be coming back!

Without prejudice- Although we had the place to ourselves, it was expensive for just somewhere to park our van without any facilities, we are currently in a caravan park just outside of Townsville and it is $7 cheaper per night than this place was. Yes it was nice to light the fire in the afternoon, and I’m sure swimming would be nice in the warmer months, but again we have a pool here in the van park, a dump point for the toilet, power and water as well. we were well aware that there would be no facilities, and we used it as a practice for free camping in the future, but I feel it was way over priced compared to a caravan park that is not so far away from this place. I

Heaps of room, the creek is a great point of difference and only 20mins from Townsville! Very handy to have some kayaks and redclaw pots available for use.
