Relaxing family friendly camping in beautiful Woopen Creek with picturesque views of Queensland's highest mountain Mt Bartle Frere. Our campsites offer plenty of room to run and play, fresh water swimming, perfect for bird watching, and a cosy fireplace to relax around in the evening. You will be camping on a working Vanilla Bean farm so there is an opportunity to learn more about how vanilla grows. We have two sites, one to accommodate larger caravans and RV's, and the second camping area is best suited to camper trailers and tents. Drinking water on tap and a private shelter to place your portable toilet or to hang your camp shower. You will be within a short drive to popular tourist destinations including Josephine Falls, Babinda Boulders, Brampston Beach and Innisfail for shopping. Visit the famous Babinda Bakery for fresh bread, pies and cakes. If you're into bush walking, Mt Bartle Frere has walking tracks to Broken Nose or for the more experienced walker, to the Summit for breathtaking views.

Camping by the Creek
Beautiful campsite
Beautiful property, we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Lovely little creek to have a swim. The amenities were fantastic for setting up own toilet and shower. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing this is the place. I will be back for sure 😊 the host Ray was every helpful to show us where to go and then left us to relax.

Camping with the stars
We had an amazing stay at Raymond and Patricia's piece of paradise. Loads of wildlife to enjoy. The most amazing sky full of stars with no light pollution. Peaceful tranquillity next to the crystal clear running creek, which is great to take a refreshing swim. So welcoming and helpful and we learnt all about the vanilla bean growing process. We will definitely return to spend more time under the stars. Thank you

Relaxing rainforest retreat!
Loved being their first guests!! Really enjoyed our stay with Ray and Pat! Beautifully maintained property, really nice gardens and a peaceful creek that ran down the back! Ray was so accomodating and checked in which is regularly as unfortunately we were there during a lot of rain. Ray was very happy to tell us about the property, wildlife, sights around the area and even teach us about vanilla farming! The campsite down by the creek was absolutely stunning and if it wasn’t for all the rain and having a caravan we would’ve loved to camp down there! Couldn’t recommend this Hipcamp enough! Will be coming back when in North QLD for sure
