Welcoming you to our 100 acre horse property nestled in the Glasshouse Mountains, with a creek and a lake. Featuring a mix of pine and natural forest, this off grid campsite has a lovely flat space for camping. Drinking water and toilet amenities are available, and we welcome well behaved dogs on leashes as well as a place to stay for your beloved horse (please note an additional horse facility fee will be charged). *While we don't have water hookups, we can fill water tanks. 🐴***We also offer a variety of horse riding experiences that can be selected and added to your booking at checkout***🐴 The Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane. The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads. Please note there is highway noise at this site.

Site 10 - Wild Horse Retreat
The property was not represented properly so we did not know where the toilet was. The owner’s dog was constantly around eating anything that it could. We did not enjoy our stay after having to pay extra upon arrival as it was one car per site. I would not recommend this site as the owner was unpleasant too.

Gorgeous spot, tranquil and a stunning soundscape. Wild horses graze early in the morning up close to your site, its very lovely here.

The campsite was ok, Sam the host's dog was great. That was where it ended, the "toilet available" is REALLY far from the actual campsites in the workshop, you are far better off taking your own. The host was extremely unfriendly which doesnt seem to be what everyone else said so maybe we caught him on a bad day. There are no instructions other than checkin with host when you get there. The host was nowhere to be found and wasnt answering his phone either so after sitting outside the gate for 20 minutes we decided to head through and see if we could find the site before coming back later to see if the host would be around. That was the exact point he appeared out of a nearby building and started moaning at me for opening the gate without his permission. I mentioned that I couldnt reach him on his mobile and he said he doesnt care, dont open the gate without his permission. Honestly if we had another option of somewhere to stay for the night at that point we would have left, he was that rude. So with all of that aside, if you are after a fairly average site with a toilet that is a fair walk away and a grump host then this is the place for you! If not then I would go for any of the other options in the area.

Not very easy to find in the dark! Originally booked for two nights but only stayed for one. If you don’t have a toilet, one night is definitely enough! Impossible to find the toilet in the dark/it is quite far away. Didn’t find Michael the friendliest of hosts and we were put in a site near to others so was loud at night. Like I said, fine for one night and it is close to great walks at Glass House Mountains. Road noise didn’t bother us at all - in fact we barely noticed it!
