Gallop in! Some sites cater to Hipcampers on horseback.
Welcoming you to our 100 acre horse property nestled in the Glasshouse Mountains, with a creek and a lake. Featuring a mix of pine and natural forest, this off grid campsite has a lovely flat space for camping. Drinking water and toilet amenities are available, and we welcome well behaved dogs on leashes as well as a place to stay for your beloved horse (please note an additional horse facility fee will be charged). *While we don't have water hookups, we can fill water tanks. 🐴***We also offer a variety of horse riding experiences that can be selected and added to your booking at checkout***🐴 The Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane. The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads. Please note there is highway noise at this site.

Site 1 - Wild Horse Retreat
A friend and I camped here in a tent for a quick trip away and loved our little secluded spot! There was plenty of flat space to pitch a tent on our site and lovely scenery. We also loved having the company of Sam, Michael’s dog, who came to greet us every morning. My only issue was that our site was quite far away from the toilets, but the walk was no issue when we had horses and cows to greet us along the way :)

Family camping
Entire family loved it! Great host, Michael, friendly dog, horses, cattle. Very big and picturesque land to explore, plenty of space to camp. Only highway a bit noisy at night. Ah, and I wish we could stay longer and explore waterways on kayak.

Michael was a great host! We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and will definitely be returning again soon. The horses are friendly and we really enjoyed having a campfire! Thank you Michael 👍

Site 10 - Wild Horse Retreat
On our arrival Michael told us the toilet was not functioning and the plumber had not come to fix it yet so we decided not to stay the night. Michael kindly organised our refund.
