We're located on the banks of the Balonne River at Surat with a 10 acre fully fenced block suitable for RV, Caravans, Buses, Motorhomes, Camper Trailers and Tents. The block is flat with plenty of room for you and your friends. This is the perfect place to get away on your own for some fishing or with a group of family and friends to have a relaxing time or be as active as you like. Pets are welcome and need to be on a leash and you are responsible for picking up after your pet. Great fishing spot with Murray Cod and Yellow Belly in the river which is accessible on the bank of our property and also from the boat ramp nearby. The block is less than 1km from the town with a nice walking path along the banks of the Balonne River and an easy walk into town. Bikes can also be used to access town. You can paddle boat, canoe, kayak or tinny boat and swim in the river. There are kangaroos coming into the property and a variety of birdlife. Fires are allowed but must be in a raised firepit or the communal firepit. There is some firewood around the property that can be collected and used. Surat has 2 convenience stores, a pub, coffee shop, public boat ramp, petrol station and a hospital. Roma is 80km to the North and St George is 110km to the South. Potable water and dump point are 500m from our driveway. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Grey water may be disposed of on the grass.

Lovely quite camp site, we will be back again and hopefully be able to camp on the river as it was far too wet this trip. Great fresh potable water available. Would love to visit when grass has been slashed. Cheers

Quiet and peaceful. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the peace at night with the exceptions of some farm animals that never bothered us. Instructions were easy to follow, friendly owners.

The place is lovely, and open. We saw kangaroos every day and there were some very friendly birds that I didn’t identify. Some sheep and goats get into the property but didn’t bother us and was nice to see some animals around. Short walk down to the Balonne River where my son caught a silver perch. The back of the property seems to have some sites with less prickles. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Not deal breakers for us but the town water is slow and took us about an hour to fill 330L (not the hosts fault) and there are currently a lot of prickles, so if you go keep your shoes or thongs on. Thanks for the great stay.

Paulinen's land was nice close tho the river. Our son had fun fishing, no luck though. Paulinen was lovely and the park was nice and quiet. Heaps of fire wood.

We stayed 2 nights. Great location on the river, short walk into town. We loved our stay. Stay here rather than across the main road at the free camp (it was very busy and on the main road). Paulien and Shane were great hosts.
