Stunning 160 acre property adjacent to the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics. Private rainforest, with permanent freshwater creek, Platypus, abundant bird and wildlife. Accommodation is surrounded by the beautiful Julatten Mountain range and peak of Mt Fraser and the renowned Mt Lewis National Park is just a 5 min. drive away. Beautiful natural swimming holes. Our Platypus Hut, the bush BBQ facility on the edge of the creek is a great place to relax and unwind. Sweetwater, situated at the gateway to Cape York, is an easy drive from the very best the region has to offer with easy day trips to Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman, Daintree, Cape Tribulation, Cairns, Atherton Tablelands, Waterfall circuit and even Cooktown. Truly Nature's Paradise in Tropical North Queensland.

    Wonderful space all to ourselves next to a river with birds gallore. Five minutes down the road grey nomads are packed and cramped into a dusty roadside park because its free. They are mad! This place is paradise by contrast.

    Wendy and Glen were great hosts! They communicated clearly and regularly, checked we had everything we needed and were great company. The campsite is in an amazing position next to the cool, clear creek and provides plenty of space. We will be back for sure!

    We stayed 3 nights at the campsite of this property and had absolutely fantastic time. It was a quite secluded site by a small creek with clean running water. We were able to bring our dogs and did some walks and cycling around the property. There is plenty of firewood and no mossies/flies. Best camp!

    Lovely property & friendly hosts. Scenic with running creek, surrounding mountain range, rain forest and woodlands. A nature, birding & photography paradise. Plenty of birds and a platypus! Must be fully self contained but dump point available in Mt Molloy just down the road. Will be back!
