Sunshine Coast Retreat
Greedy and dishonest!
Had messaged Andy to book a tent site as I had to take a puppy to see a specialist. I wrote to Andy saying we'd be staying either Thursday to Sunday, or Thursday to Wednesday as surgery was possible and noone else was booked. Andy called me and suggested we book day by day. I meant to include the Saturday night in the booking but booked the last night as Friday. We assumed there'd be no problem. Friday afternoon, Andy tells us there's a men's golf group arriving and they'd booked the hall which is situated on one side of the camp ground. He asked if we were leaving on Saturday as we'd booked until then and we told him we were leaving on Sunday as previously arranged. He went on that it could be noisy but we understood and it would be okay as we were on the opposite side of the field. The next morning, Andy approached us and asked if we were leaving. We said we weren't planning to. He then said it was a Bucks night and that he'd told the group we were leaving and that they paid $7000 to have the place to themselves. Andy said he was thinking of us as it'd be noisy. Maybe that was partly true. We felt like we had no choice but to leave. We'd set up an entire camp-site with kitchen etc to stay 2 nights and enjoy one day. If the pups surgery was to go ahead we would have been scrambling to find alternative accommodation. We felt deceived as the story kept changing.

Sunshine Coast Retreat
Beautiful place for camping! Lots of activities to do, fishing, golf, harvesting avocados. We got 3 huge eels for dinner. Andy is very friendly. He provided wood for fire pit, connected power for projector so that we could watch the movies at night. He also kindly gave us bait for fishing.

Great Stay
Great location and very friendly host! Andy was lovely enough to allow us to book in at very short notice. We had a lovely spot to camp, with access to toilet/shower/water. It was peaceful and there is so much to do.

Camping with dogs
We had a great stay at Sunshine Coast Retreat. Andy was a fabulous host. We arrived in the dark and he was happy to help show us where to set up. It was great to have clean bathroom facilities as well! Think it would be a great spot for families with the big oval and golf. We were also grateful to be able to bring our Labrador!
