Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Private flat clearing on the mountain ridge with bush, mountain and water views. Only one camp site on our 81 acres. Bush walking tracks. 2 kayaks and red claw pots available for guests to use in Somerset Dam at the front of the property. Plenty of friendly wildlife including birds, wedgetail eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, goannas, bandicoots, betongs, dingos and red deer. One part of the gravel driveway is steep, so a vehicle with some clearance is advised. All campers need to be self sufficient with toilet and shower. Dump point in nearby town. Fire pit available and DIY foraged fire wood available, or order for a fee in advance.Hilltop views see property description. Water can be seen through the trees. Flat grassy area. Access via gravel driveway. Only camp site on our property. Our sheds and accommodation are 500m away and can not be seen at all. See owner for kayak and red claw pots for guest use. Very quite and private The host bebe is very nice and supportive we arrived very late at night but she wait and guide us coz we lost because its very dark Thanks bebe will see you next time

I stayed at Poppy’s rest for two days and it was fantastic. If you are after a quiet and peaceful camp, this is the spot for you. An absolutely picturesque Queensland country setting with the best the Somerset area has to offer, a nice drive in, spectacular mountain views, lots of birdlife and a well appointed flat camp site. Bebe and Eddie were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to provide help when needed. Will definitely be going back.

What a fantastic place! This campsite is amazing! Bebe was very quick with responses to messages, with clear directions on how to get to the site and kindly welcomed us when we arrived. The place itself is breathtaking, we were all alone and the views were spectacular, with dam on one side and the valley on the other. Campsite large and has a fantastic fireplace, we enjoyed cooking on it. I recommend to everybody, we will definitely be coming back!
