Close to everything, an oasis in suburbia. 5 acre property, 30 mins from airport, 5 mins to Cleveland and Stradbroke ferry, 15 mins to Sleeman Aquatic Centre and Belmont Shooting Complex. 3 large grassed sites Easy access to public transport - 200m to bus stop, 3km to train station Only one site has bathroom access, Hillhead. One acre dog enclosure available for friendly dogs. Large grassed areas among gum trees, set high so there are sea breezes in summer. Lots of birdlife, with kookaburras, galahs, curlews, cockatoos and lorikeets nesting on site, you will meet our friendly magpie and butcherbirds too. We are in a koala zone and occasionally get visitors during breeding season, and there's been a few wallaby sightings recently. We have a small hobby farm with chickens and ducks. We also have a goat, native bees, a worm farm and an aquaponics system Plenty of local activities and events. Too many to list! Beaches, bush and city stuff too The closest activity is the mini-golf at Alexandra Hills Hotel and Conference Centre. The hotel is very handy for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking. Family friendly and reasonably priced. There is a playground for kids and a bottle shop. Defibrillator on property. Fire extinguishers on site. Farm Fresh Eggs Available...... Emergency Department 4.5 km away at Redlands Hospital.

4 nights of almost peace & quiet
Large grassed area to pull out can onto. Easy access off the main drive. Short walk to the Alexandra Hills Pub - good food, a buzzing place. Lots of birds one, beautiful dogs to pet. Some road noise from nearby BUT doesn’t really impact too much. As Paula stated when we arrived the bathroom is a bit tired but water pressure was great and water VERY hot. Shower is over bath so worth noting if you have any mobility issues.

We loved everything about our stay at Hillhead. It is conveniently located to Capalaba, Cleveland, Victoria Point etc, close to restaurants and it even has a pub right next door which wasn’t noisy at all. If we come back we will definitely stay here again. Paula’s communication with us was excellent and her directions on finding Hillhead were spot on!

Camping with our jack Russell
This is a large acreage that they have set out a large area for ppl to camp. Hosts are extremely welcoming and very helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here. In the middle of Brisbane. So close to Capalaba. Yet very quiet and feels like in the country.
